During an interview at the 2013 BMI Film/TV Awards Red Carpet, John Williams confirmed that he ‘plans’ and ‘fully expects’ to compose the score to Star Wars: Episode VII. Here’s the transcript of Williams’ reply:
INTERVIEWER: “I have to ask: are you coming back for number 7 Star Wars? Has J.J. talked to you?
JOHN WILLIAMS: “I certainly plan to, and fully expect I’ll be there and to be able to do it”
