Josh500 1,620 Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Dear God.Sometimes you can take a joke that was funny at first too far...
Maurizio 6,913 Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Looks like it will be a 70-75 minute CD.I wonder if the last track will be the Williams' arrangement of the song from the stage version (I suspect it will play over the end credits).
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,387 Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 9. The Deserting (2:34)Is that like The Deserting Chase?Looks like it will be a 70-75 minute CD.I wonder if the last track will be the Williams' arrangement of the song from the stage version (I suspect it will play over the end credits).Oh god I hope not.If so the Academy will probably not consider the score eligible because it uses previously existing music.
Sandor 918 Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Looks like it will be a 70-75 minute CD.I wonder if the last track will be the Williams' arrangement of the song from the stage version (I suspect it will play over the end credits).Huh...?FilmComposer told me that the End Credits consists of the three major themes from the film: a "Celtic Horse Theme", the "Bonding Theme" (theme from the trailer) and the "Dartmoor Theme".
Maurizio 6,913 Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Well, good news for me!I don't know how the song will be used, it was pure speculation on my part. Maybe they didn't use it all in the end.
Incanus 5,890 Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Well, good news for me!I don't know how the song will be used, it was pure speculation on my part. Maybe they didn't use it all in the end.Well even if they did use it, it does not have to tie in with the soundtrack release.
Josh500 1,620 Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Or, it could be that the song is the second to last track, like with Far and Away.Seriously, if it's a 70-75 minute album, I don't mind if there is one song included.
fommes 165 Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Dear God.Sometimes you can take a joke that was funny at first too far... I'm glad you at least noticed it wasn't meant to be taken seriously. Good for you!

astonexperience 0 Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Thanks for the friendly welcome, also thanks to Jason for the War Horse tracks - I hope you don't get assasinated by some Sony pr exec, I did some minor work with Sony's PR team and they were anal about confidentiality. I still daren't use the artwork I co-designed anywhere.

Josh500 1,620 Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 To be honest, I wouldn't mind waiting a few months for that second MM release, either.I mean, we have 4 JW releases now as it is. I'll be busy listening to those . . .
Jay 46,244 Posted October 11, 2011 Author Posted October 11, 2011 1. Dartmoor, 1912 (3:35)2. The Auction (3:43)3. Bringing Joey Home, and Bonding (4:48)4. Learning the Call (3:42)5. Seeding, and Horse vs. Car (3:32)6. Plowing (5:57)7. Ruined Crop, and Going to War (3:33)8. The Charge and Capture (3:21)9. The Desertion (2:34)10. Joey's New Friends (3:28)
Josh500 1,620 Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Okay . . . I wonder which track contains the bit we can hear in the trailer.
indy4 160 Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 According to FilmComposer, the flute solo at the end of the trailer is from the End Credits.
Josh500 1,620 Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Hmmm. I hope the End Credits is a concert arrangement...
Josh500 1,620 Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Why wouldn't it be?Uh, because in the case of Tintin it isn't?
Jay 46,244 Posted October 12, 2011 Author Posted October 12, 2011 Tinkertin most certainly is an original concert arrangement that will surely be used under the end credits.
Josh500 1,620 Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Tinkertin most certainly is an original concert arrangement that will surely be used under the end credits.Yeah, but I meant a concert arrangement of the themes from the movie. The first track of the Tintin OS album, as I understand it, doesn't feature any of the new major themes: Tintin's , Snowy's, Haddock's etc.
Josh500 1,620 Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Gotta level with you though, judging by the samples, the first track is the one that I like the least. At least so far.
Jay 46,244 Posted October 12, 2011 Author Posted October 12, 2011 1. Dartmoor, 1912 (3:35)2. The Auction (3:43)3. Bringing Joey Home, and Bonding (4:48)4. Learning the Call (3:42)5. Pulling the Cannon (4:58)
indy4 160 Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 So far there's about 43.2 minutes of music. 5 tracks left!
Josh500 1,620 Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Yeah, this looks like a movie with LOTS of music.
Incanus 5,890 Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 So far there's about 43.2 minutes of music. 5 tracks left!I predict a 65 minute album.
Rachael Foley 10,162 Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 I predict a 2-Disc set...eventually.
Josh500 1,620 Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 I wonder how long the movie will run...I don't think it will be as long as SPR, but we might be looking at a 140 minute movie.
Josh500 1,620 Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 I predict a 120 minute CD. The first of its kind. And the last.Maybe in 20 years, released by La-La Land!
Jay 46,244 Posted October 12, 2011 Author Posted October 12, 2011 I predict the OST will contain most of the score, and will in fact contain all the highlights
Josh500 1,620 Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 I predict the OST will contain most of the score, and will in fact contain all the highlightsIn terms of how much of the music is on the album, I predict it will be kind of like "The Patriot."Most of the highlights are on the album, but some minor (and yet for us important) cues are missing.
Josh500 1,620 Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 But I am loving the fact that this movie definitely contains more music than the other Spielberg-directed war movies SL and SPR.
