Two things popped into my head when I read the thread title. The first was that this has to be the subject of one of those Christopher Guest mockumentaries. Fred Ward would play the part of 007. Bob Balaban would be conducting the orchestra. And Guest himself would have to be the director (a la Waiting for Guffman). I can see him now, talking to someone beside the camera: "It wouldn't be Bond without an 'opening credit' sequence, so we have Cirque du Soleil doing that whole thing. Y'know. And he'll have this gadget where he presses the little button on his cigarette case, and a 'hologram' of Stephen Sondheim pops out and does this big musical number. And I don't think it's any exaggeration to say that we'll go down in the books with the most expensive and elaborate car chase scene in Broadway history. If you've ever imagined what a combination of Oklahoma! and The French Connection would look like, then you might have some idea of what I'm talking about here. . . ." The second was Michael Palin's voice at the end of the Argument Clinic sketch, saying, "What a stupid concept."

I mentioned this on FB earlier. The Force Awakens will be the last time that the release of a Star Wars film is really a bit of an event. Disney will be churning them out from then on, like the MCU films. Even the Prequels, as bad as they are had a bit of pomp and circumstance attached to their release.

I didn't realise this was fightclub. And yes I'm talking about it.

I hate all these goofy packagings physical media gets these days. I want all my blu rays on my shelf to be uniform!

I like all M:I films. That reminds me, I need to re-watch them all before the next one comes out...

Not every composer. But if people are saying Gia is the next Williams, then yes. Gia hasn't yet created a score that changed the world, so to speak, unlike Williams with SW, Jaws and even Superman.

Goldsmith's is good, of course. But Horner's, man...I could listen to that one all day. I had it recorded on cassette with my Talkboy from Home Alone 2, from the beginning of the Back to the Future Part III VHS.

Ah, that's a good point. Photos of the supposed sessions were removed, too... if that's further indication. I'm optimistic Williams will score the following episodes! Keep the positive energy flowing!
