  1. If that happens with my order to Portugal I'll be most surely requesting a tax refund. In my book that is called stealing. As for the album bring widely available... What about the folks who don't stream or buy digital music? Certainly someone in there should know the target demographics... People over 50 and film music fans are still very much tied to phisical media. At least I am.
  2. You're right. But I remember that flashlights were a best seller at the Glass House shop 😉
  3. It showed up on my daily search email one morning but it was already sold when I opened the mail. I think it might have been a buy it now item, as I don't think it was sold at a high price.
  4. I've been to Tanglewood back in 2014 and we walked back from Tanglewood to Lennox after the concert. It's a nice evening walk.
  5. There was a listing of it at eBay a few weeks ago. Sadly I arrived late to it...
  6. Sound the Bells was performed in Vienna in March 2022 and released as a digital single.
  7. How does the international shipping on Tower Records works? Does the pack is still subject to import duties or are they already included within this service? I also checked over at Amazon Japan and they don't list this release... Any word if they will have it?
  8. Of Grit and Glory is receiving a performance by the Pacific Symphony under Richard Kaufman as part of their "July 4 Spectacular: Tribute to The Beatles", at FivePoint Amphitheatre in Irvine. https://www.pacificsymphony.org/july4-spectacular
  9. I've only been to Tanglewood, so can't really compare. But Tanglewood is a magical place and very dear to Williams' heart. As pointed above, the Bowl will be great for more populist stuff, while Carnegie Hall is a highly revered place for classical music.
  10. Custom charges in Portugal are 23% upon the item price plus shipping, so I usually get this releases through music box. If I combine with other stuff, diluting the shipping charges, it always ends up being the most affordable solution.
  11. Before that one, she's playing it at Salzburg https://www.deutschegrammophon.com/en/artists/annesophiemutter/on-tour/31-08-2023-grosses-festspielhaus-salzburg-williams-violin-concerto-no-2stravinsky-peacutetrouchka-1126811
  12. Yes, I understood it My comment on my reaction was mostly toward to those who wouldn't expect it from Williams.
  13. 《All John Williams Program》 Sound the Bells!* Tributes! (for Seiji!) * Suite from "Far & Away" * Suite from "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" * Three Million Light Years from Home Stargazers Flying Theme Superman March Three Selections from "Harry Potter" Hedwig’s Theme Fawkes the Phoenix Harry’s Wondrous World Theme from "Schindler’s List" Three Selections from "Star Wars" The Rebellion is Reborn Princess Leia’s Theme Throne Room & Finale John Williams Stéphane Denève* https://www.ozawa-festival.com/en/programs/2023/orchestra-b.html
  14. I believe this is from the scene were Sabrina is working as assistant during a photo-shot session in the streets of Paris. Since this uses the Moonlight melody and Williams has composed other cues not all that unlike to this one, I never question that it was composed by him.
  15. Michael Dees sung the on screen versions of both songs, the ones heard during the parties. I would assume those will be on the disc, just not the edited Sting version, used over the end credits.
  16. https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid0jSqzdkXJ8FdoKdLoTDQyywNfXcYouDcNTAgynVSw62c7VAUoJ1LcqenWLWLuHy8Wl&id=100044419959777
  17. I checked the promo single and I believe the film version is an edit from the album one. Minus some very light mixing differences (at least to my ears, some very subtle details may be more evident on one than another and the album version sounded brighter), you can easily recreate the edit this way (approximate times rounded to the nearest second): 0:00 to 1:51 3:51 to 4:40 Fade out starting at 4:40 until 4:56 (the fade is more intense in the first few seconds then more subtle when is already very low).
  18. The Sting version of "Moonlight" has an orchestral arrangement by Don Davis, performed by the London Metropolitan Orchestra, recorded at Lake House and Air studios.
  19. I gave that one to my stepdaughter, ages ago, when she was studying piano. If memory serves, they are very easy piano arrangements.
  20. I think Kenton and the LA Neophonic only one recording, fortunately featuring the Williams Prelude and Fugue.
