  1. Besides having his hands cut off, WTF is wrong with Christopher Lee in that photo?
  2. We can probably be assured that the 5.1 or 6.1 or 7.1 HD audio tracks will still have the music reversed, muted and noticeably less audible. Also, the colors will be all wrong and everything will be too dark.
  3. No he does not. He's slightly more cross-eyed at points and obviously withering/dying, but he looks like the same dude otherwise. By many accounts it's Mark Hamill that looks completely different. People have complained plenty about ROTJ, so let's even call that into question. Prequel Yoda is like Yoda's crazy, dumber, younger (by a few hundred years) brother, Yodel.
  4. Yeah, but the footage of the CGI Yoda in Episode I doesn't even look good. It didn't look good in AOTC, looked better in some scenes of ROTS. Probably because I grew up with the Muppet Yoda and the CGI just looks all wrong to me. It feels like an overly animated computerized simulation of Yoda in scenes, not Yoda. He seemed real in the original movies. The puppet in Episode I was ALSO wrong. He looked like a caricature of Yoda and too different. I mean, he's 800 years old and the movies only take place over a length of 30-40 years or something. Why the hell make him look that different? He looks too young and "cute" in the PT. Not as as bad as the CGI face E.T. from 2002, but still pretty bad. The AOTC soundtrack cover image with him and the Doc Brown hair is plain ridiculous. Twirling through the air like Sonic the Hedgehog, screaming...then hunching over and hobbling away with his cane. I mean, I love the magical aspects of the movies (for instance, the Force before it became all scientific), but what the hell.
  5. What will be changed this time? I'm most excited about the additional content like deleted scenes.
  6. I got as far as "The Ferry Scene" from WOTW. I want those 5 minutes back.
  7. Re-watched Quantum of Solace. I really enjoy it, especially in the comfort of my home theater with no annoying date blabbing during critical dialogue and plot points.
  8. Will do. Nice. Complete Batman (1989) is important, but Batman Returns even more so. Those are on my fairly limited list of non-Williams scores I want released in complete form (which also includes Titanic, John Barry King Kong and Star Trek V).
  9. I don't know too much about this minimalistic influence, but I do know that A.I. has a tendency to A. bore me and B. crave a de-hissing equalizer option on my iPod.
  10. No you should get the awesome book packaging version of the first movie. Very cheap now and all you need from The Matrix.
  11. I've always thought "Jewish Town" is a concert piece... It is but I usually like to throw the concert pieces into my playlists with the rest of the score and make some chronological sense out of it (rather than placing them strictly at the beginning or end). I kinda figure to begin my SL playlist with Jewish Town. I'll probably just do that.
  12. You said they'd be left in the city under my supervision!
  13. Why didn't the Jedi just bug Palpatine's phone or set up fuckin cameras is his office? Why do they send the unstable youth to investigate him? Mace Windu apparently didn't trust EITHER of them? He was on top of shit while that dumbass Yoda watched Chewbaccas fighting robots while sipping rum on the beach.
  14. I still remember the first time I saw ESB, on video. The first night I could only stay up to the part where the snowspeeders search for Luke and Han. Night 2 was the rest of the movie. One of the earliest images I remember is Luke backing out over that abyss and then hanging out the bottom of cloud city. That movie's the best.
  15. If this mystery release is a big JW one, can somebody get me a copy? I will not be around for any of this.
  16. Is there a suggested chronological placement for "Jewish Town - Krakow Ghetto, Winter '41" ? This is my playlist for SL as best as I could figure: 1. Schindler's Workforce 2. Stolen Memories 3. OYF'N Pripetshok 4. Immolation 5. Making the List 6. Give Me Your Names 7. Auschwitz 8. I Could Have Done More 9. Yeroushalaim Chel Zahav 10. Theme 11. Theme reprise 12. Remembrances 13. Jewish Town 14. Remembrances (Perlman)
  17. The only reason I laugh is because of Michael J. Fox screaming hysterically. He really is a comic genius. So many moments in Part II especially leave me in stitches. Just look at the way he crosses the roadway in the 2015 square and twirls around. Hilarious.
  18. Yoda clearly trained Ben from watching the original movies. It's that simple. Why this whole new character in the prequels, I don't know. That movie should have been about Anakin, not Liam Neeson and Watto.
  19. ROTJ feels more and more like a weird 80's era Jim Henson production with the Star Wars characters. It was the first SW movie I saw and I fell in love with all things SW because of it, but damn is it such a different feel from the first two movies.
  20. Everybody knows that. Still, the shark does not look bad in the original. I'm certain it was the sequels and that ridiculous looking dated computerized marquee allegedly from 2015 where the shark actually looked fake.
  21. The best part of ESB is "Luke Pursues the Captives" with Yoda's theme in action. I agree, although I do like its brief appearance when they show the boat on the map (the end of "Orellana's Cradle" I think). There's something in that moment that's more like the Williams we knew from the other three movies.
