I saw the movie on opening day but didn't get the OST until later in 97 when I had birthday money. I thought it was better than JP1. I remember watching the original JP and thinking a sequel with people on an island of dinos similar to King Kong would be awesome. Then Congo came out with a bunch of guys with guns and Laura Linney in the jungle and I thought this would be awesome as a JP movie. TLW delivered that.

People here obviously don't have a very realistic view of JW's filmography. He scored plenty of crap. Goldsmith scored crappy movies because he was more workmanlike and didn't really care about the quality of the film. He was a blue collar composer.

Do you see any family resemblance here?

Spielberg seems to hate the Kelly Malcolm character, or the actress. He never even mentioned her in TLW documentary and she didn't appear. By the way, I'm not a fan of that story either.

I own most of the 007 movies digitally in 4K. The only exception is Man with the Golden Gun, which wasn't available to purchase. I think they look fine, some better than others, but I have my issues with the Lowry Digital remasters lacking much definition, I guess. Everything constantly looks so flat and rather desaturated, scrubbed of grain. Lowry seems to despise film grain.

It's a good score in the movie but it's not the best listening experience outside of it.

Skyfall's London scenes feel like it suddenly becomes The Dark Knight.

The original Star Trek movies need remasters. They are very dated transfers with excessive DNR. Generations has a heavy greenish tint. The only exceptions are TWOK, which is only available digitally in 4K and Nemesis, which is a decent looking one.

Seems like everything will get a 4K remaster before the original Star Trek movies
