  1. The most desirable action music JW composed in the 2000's is the duel from ROTS. That was more like the JW who did the original trilogy, Indy 1-3, Hook, etc. Lately I've been craving everything prior to the 2000's. I listen to his stuff from the 70's and 80's (90's is more hit and miss in my experience) and there's so much more going on and I'm usually much more entertained. I want more releases like Black Sunday, Poseidon Adventure, Images, etc.
  2. What do we really need from KOTCS? The embarrassing Mickey Mousing Home Alone-esque action music? More boring cave/temple music or do you think Williams devoted enough album time to that already? We need like two tracks, the concert version of Marion's Theme (which probably wasn't even recorded with the score, so forget that) and maybe the part where Indy gets on the train? Even that probably wouldn't be as nice as I remember it in the movie.
  3. Now there's a score that's under appreciated. Not KOTCS. KOTCS isn't appreciated because it isn't that good, especially for an Indiana Jones score.
  4. I'd rather have complete Sabrina than Prisoner of Azkaban, Attack of the Clones or KOTCS.
  5. Nope. Family Plot is still more important than the prequels. A gem of a score by Williams in the prime of his career and mostly unreleased. I would rather have that. Edit: nvm you saw reason. In regards to E.T., we also need the music Williams did for the ride at Universal Studios. Those tracks, alternates, the original album remastered and Stargazers would round out a two disc release of E.T. quite nicely. Temple of Doom is a frustratingly incomplete score. Thank God we got all those additional tracks, but I desire all of it. Hook is arguably the most important complete work to get released officially. Sorcerer's Stone is Williams' most important score of the last nearly 20 years.
  6. I would certainly buy remastered/complete Reivers, Cowboys, Dracula, Jaws 2, Earthquake, Midway, Lost World, A.I. and many others posted here. Most of them actually.
  7. I've always liked JP, but I'm unsure if I should say it's great. I would reserve such an adjective for the likes of Jaws, Star Wars Trilogy, Superman, CE3K, Indy Trilogy and Hook. Close Encounters grew on me a lot in recent years. I used to skip right through the CDs to the finale and call it quits. When I got the Boston Pops CDs with the suite, forget it. I retired both CE3K CDs for a long time. Now they're constantly in rotation.
  8. These lists are always the same usual suspects (aka mostly venerable hits we are still annoyingly without), but how about flipping things around and deciding what we DON'T need? I'll start: War of the Worlds.
  9. The original scene was clearly an homage to the scene where Tuco shoots the guy from under the water in the bathtub in The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. "When you have to shoot, shoot. Don't talk." Lucas is a fucking clown nowadays.
  10. I was absolutely bored. They're so overdone. The original was so fresh and entertaining. It was fun. The characters were great. It was a little long but you still woke up for the end and loved it. It was naturally a hit. In fact, I need the Blu-ray.
  11. Even the blue Darth Maul was a lie! Blue?! "Talk of Podracing"
  12. But the UE was still awesome in its own weird way, for me anyway.
  13. I got a shipping confirmation e-mail just after I ordered it. Like a complimentary "your order has shipped" thing, but no tracking number so kinda sketchy. Edit: nevermind, new e-mail with tracking thing. So it is coming.
  14. I remember when we were desperately hoping the "Corellian Edition" would be a disc of unreleased prequel music or something. What a crock.
  15. Chunks of the third Pirates of the Caribbean movie on TV. God do the sequels suck.
  16. By the way, I'm still a little ticked at that guy who came up with for the JP theme. I don't even think twice about that JW A capella dude's silly lyrics, but these have unfortunately stuck with me.
  17. That's a pretty awesome moment. I think my favorite part is that final money shot of the T-Rex with the banner falling. WTF happened to Steven Spielberg.
  18. I used to skip the theme track, but lately I throw it in the front of my playlist. I dig the intro (which is used at the start of the JP rides) and the clean ending.
  19. So I don't really give a crap about Avatar, but apparently the Batman individual BD's dropped as well? Best Buy had them 19.99 a piece, but I thought they were coming out in a couple of weeks. I seem to recall Target would be having a buy 2 get $10 off sale so I held off.
