  1. I was expecting something more like Star Wars Prequels: The Soundtrack Collection. Featuring repacks of the original albums with a photo booklet, screensavers, stickers, temporary tattoos and a fourth disc with 5 minutes of previously unreleased music ("Across the Stars" dialogue version) and interviews with Rick McCallum and Ben Burtt.
  2. No amount of clapping will bring JW back from where he'll be sent for this.
  3. If it was more along the lines of "Williams will sign a contract forbidding the release of any additional music", I might not have rolled my eyes.
  4. I think TNG was the first Star Trek I ever watched so that's probably it.
  5. I didn't like the new Enterprise. Nothing about it, really. I can't think of a single major Federation ship we saw onscreen in the other Trek shows/movies that I wouldn't prefer to the new version.
  6. Yeah, those were used back in the pre-CGI days when the ships still looked good. The Enterprise E still had to be a model when they did First Contact because it takes my breath away like no CGI ship ever could.
  7. I disagree. I'd rather have an Enterprise than a Y-Wing or a crummy TIE Fighter. Just having a holodeck is cooler than having a Star Destroyer, which is basically a bunch of corridors, control panels with pointless blinking lights and the Wizard of Oz's holographic head chamber minus the cool flames.
  8. Generations makes everyone sad. What a miserable movie.
  9. D. I'd have sex with it, if I was another spaceship. Or on the holodeck I guess. Or in a Jefferies tube.
  10. Sometimes it's preferable, other times I can't stand it. The ROTJ SE is ridiculous, but whatever. Sometimes certain tracks don't sound right for one reason or another. I know some people had difficulty merging tracks from TOD on the Indy set because of the pitch or something. The segue into Hyperspace from Losing a Hand on the ESB SE is horrible. Hyperspace always sounded really weird to me there. I find myself constantly changing the volume levels especially when listening to ROTJ SE. Some cues are too soft and others are way too loud. I also prefer having a lot of cues separate, like Final Duel and the snow battle. I've always liked the breaks there. I agree with the opinion that the situation always varies when it comes to joined and split cues. I just hope that if the OT is ever re-done, there are more breaks than on the SE's.
  11. I can't, but that doesn't seem to matter much anymore!
  12. Still waiting for the price to drop on the HP UEs.
  13. Exactly. By the way, we still need the music from the E.T. Adventure.
  14. According to last.fm TPM UE is my most-played album, but I think that's because there's like 60-something 1 minute tracks.
  15. Didn't the ROTS soundtrack do pretty well? Why the hell does The Dark Knight get a two disc set like a couple months later and here we are 5 years on scrounging for 15 second clips of unreleased music from video games...
  16. "Panaka and the Queen's Protectors" is an awesome track as well. I have to believe AOTC is the best of the prequel CDs in terms of the content. I'm always most satisfied after listening to that one. Maybe because AOTC is the best of the prequel scores. *ducks*
  17. AOTC also needs to be remastered or something to eliminate all the hiss and give the music some oomph. It sounds like shite.
  18. There's no reason to take the original CD out of print and copies of the UE will probably be around for years, so that may not matter.
  19. I'd bet something like that could exist. That AOTC featurette thing that was excluded from the DVD appeared out of nowhere on Youtube. Maybe the Ultimate Edition of POA will have it.
