  1. Music from Schindler's List or Saving Private Ryan would make sense, but it'll probably be E.T., Raiders or Jurassic because they're more celebratory.
  2. Curious that Maestro was nominated for Best Sound. Were the orchestral scenes recorded live on set or something? He's well recognised at the Razzies.
  3. Hopefully Spielberg gets a JW theme for whatever award he's presenting.
  4. Have they played Helena's Theme or any JW music so far?
  5. John Williams shout out from Kris Bowers! Guess they didn't have a camera nearby for a reaction.
  6. WOTW had 4 versions of the Boston reunion, Amistad had 4 versions of the Give Us Free speech cue. Seems like the SW sequels had a stack of alternates too.
  7. Yeah that's the only omission I noticed about @BrotherSound's tracklist. A comprehensive TLC expansion needs at least 3 versions of KUWTJ. Personally I'd pair the album version and the revised film version (with insert ending) in the film score presentation, because they're so different anyway. Then the revised cue WITHOUT the film insert ending could go in the bonus section. I don't think the film insert ending has leaked in any of the bootlegs either.
  8. Must have been a bridge too far matching the fonts on the top and bottom of the artwork.
  9. Fantastic stuff... ROTS is definitely my most-wanted prequel expansion. It deserves the Matessino treatment! That alternate Battle of the Heroes opening being recorded was a great discovery last year. Who knows what else was recorded we don't know about!
  10. Wonder if this release bodes well for a BOT4J 35th anniversary expansion coming this July? There's been quite a few instances where pairs of Cruise/LLL expansions are released within the span of a few months, likely due to Cruise approving their artwork at the same time (and he's a busy guy, so I imagine that only happens once or twice a year).
  11. Crazy that in 2024 we're still getting expansions from the boutique labels without all the music heard in the film. I can't imagine any explanation except the composer wanting that material omitted, for whatever reason.
  12. I suspect the latter two were rearranged to form the end credits suite we ultimately received. No doubt both had material that didn't make the final version though.
  13. Agreed, it's absurd. Like lumping Best Original Score with Best Score Recording or something.
  14. I found that cute too. He seemed taken aback that someone remembered that score, much less a specific cue from it.
  15. SW and Indy are definitely in different camps to Jurassic, Potter, Superman, Home Alone, even Jaws. There's definitely a combination of factors but the ongoing (and directorial) involvement of Spielberg and Lucas would be the biggest factors at play. He seems to be less interested when they aren't involved in a major capacity. But who knows, it's possible Williams scores JP3 if not for AI and HP1.
  16. Powell would be fantastic, but I don't see it happening unless Williams or Spielberg lobby for it. Giacchino did admirable work on the trilogy but it's time for fresh blood. The series needs to reinvent itself and not simply be Jurassic World 4. Make it Jurassic Era 1 or whatever, the start of something new. Dominion left a bad taste in people's mouths; the best approach here is a clean slate. New characters, new locations, and a story worth telling.
  17. I'd probably prefer a new composer to keep things fresh, but wouldn't be upset if Gia returned. Hope he starts from scratch and doesn't rely on existing material though. Those themes were pretty exhausted by the end of the trilogy.
  18. Hopefully the first generation elements will surface one day...
  19. So wait... If SWTWC was the Horner and Inchon (Revised, again) is the Goldsmith, does that mean the next Intrada title is the JW?
  20. Interesting, I would've thought the deal was essentially done once it was announced he was in talks to direct. Wonder what happened? Maybe he was uncomfortable with the fast tracked production schedule, or thought the script needed more work? I liked his work on Bullet Train but also accept it's not a particularly great film.
  21. One of the most gorgeous, flighty and uplifting renditions of the Flying Theme from E.T. I've heard. Masterful conducting, and clearly Williams was in awe too. Rest in peace, Seiji.
  22. I'm guessing a new Intrada JW title isn't far off (based on their list of upcoming composers), so it's probably worth holding off for a few months.
  23. Depends how many items you order but Intrada is generally the best value for larger purchases. 4x 2CD sets (or any combination that results in 7CDs) costs $31 USD to Australia. If you want only Jaws, they actually charge the 1CD shipping price for 2CD sets ($20 USD). That's why I wait for larger purchases, because a single order with 4 sets is $31. Much cheaper than paying $20 four times.
  24. Moira's Lullaby probably belongs before Saying Goodnight. Low Below - Pirate Sequence belongs before Hook's Entrance (but Presenting the Hook is the cue that replaced that whole sequence, so both tracks lead correctly into Hook's Entrance).
