  1. I remember reading that money wasn't an issue because Travolta and some of his Scientology cronies were going to finance most of the film. But that was back in 2000, so hopefully they have abandoned the idea altogether.
  2. There's a Xanadu, Pennsylvania? I had no idea. Tim Xanadu is an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us. It binds the galaxy together.
  3. Everytime I'm down there I keep wanting to check that theater out. Orson, who is just down the turnpike from it.
  4. They don't come much worse than this. Are they still toying with the sequel idea?
  5. The Machinist Very impressive film. I could not believe my eyes when I first saw Bale. I knew he lost a lot of weight for the role, but I had no idea it was that much. Has to be the most dramatic physical change I have ever seen an actor pull off... even greater than DeNiro in Raging Bull or Hanks for either Cast Away or Philadelphia. Loved the grey tone and thought the photography was quite good. The music was also a very pleasant surprise. I have no idea who this Banos guy is, but he created a score that to me sounded a lot like something Herrmann would have done, except maybe a bit softer. Had a little bit of The Day the Earth Stood Still going for it. Now I see why Alex was so giddy over this one.
  6. Absolutely not. Ironically, I was listening to Pee Wee's Big Adventure before entering this topic.
  7. Definitely one of the best editors out there.
  8. For the overall score I voted for Elfman's Batman, but I prefer Goldenthal's theme.
  9. Nope, and Justin is wrong as well. Clues: It's from the movie's ending, and what's happening in the background helps as well. My first guess was actually When Harry Met Sally, but that can't be right... can it?
  10. I'm using this poll to see which one I should get next. I of course have The Motion Picture and I do have The Final Frontier which I keep finding new appreciation for. Too bad Wrath of Khan isn't as cheap as the other ones.
  11. Since I only have one of the above listed I'm not qualified to vote, but I am curious as to what the general consensus is.
  12. I'm not too impressed with what I've heard so far. The only tracks that really caught my attention were The Wardrobe and The White Witch. Granted they are only samples and perhaps it will grow on me after seeing the film itself, but I was hoping for something a bit more.
  13. I'll let you know after I get Corpse Bride. However, if I were to base my vote soley on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, then I'd go with the first option.
  14. Considering the same person created another poll to find out the correct spelling for tinkerbell, I'd say it's par for the course.
  15. Dangerous and distrubing this puzzle is.
  16. No matter what Goldsmith could have come up with, I don't even want to try and imagine not having Williams theme for Superman.
  17. (Voice of Han Solo) Come on. Let's keep a little optimism around here.
  18. I'm diggin' the Sith covers.
