The majority of the release comes from analog tape that Shawn Murphy saved his brilliant stereo mixes of every take to, in 1991.  Nobody has to worry about any sound issues with this release -- as the samples should already tell you.  Just compare the samples of "Flight To Neverland", "The Ultimate War (Film Version)", and "Swordfight and The End of Hook" to the same music on the 2012 edition.
 
The songs (which were not recorded by Shawn Murphy) were saved on various different formats but sound just as good.

There is nothing available on the previous expansion (or any boots or leaks for that matter) that is not included in the Ultimate Edition.
 
Well, unless you count some wrong takes that don't offer anything different musically, just are not the performance Williams and Murphy selected to be used in 1991.  Everything on the new set is the correct intended performance edit where applicable.

Okay, so it's one of those things that gets brought up every few years here. lol
 
But I'm honoured to be the latest forum member to make this discovery and bring it to your attention (again). 😄 

17-New York 1969. More Marion's theme, nicely developed and slightly different than usual, and playful arrangement of Helena's Theme followed by....standard Raiders March quote with nothing special about it.
 
Why do I get the "Finale" is mostly unreleased?
 
18-Helena's Theme violin version .Should have stayed a separate single release and not on the OST.
 
 Without having seen the film yet I predict this will stand out as one of Williams "worst assembled " OST's when we get to hear the rest of the music, like Revenge of the Sith for example. Right now it sounds like a mish-mash of truncated highlights.
 
My biggest disappointment of the OST.  The beautiful and haunting theme at the end of Prologue (Dial of Destiny theme?) doesn't get a fully developed concert version. Major lost opportunity.

This reminds me of the Harry Potter 2 situation, where JW originally thought he only had time to write new themes and Ross would adapt them into scenes, and then Williams kept writing and writing actual cues until he absolutely had to stop to go score Catch Me If You Can
