Danny Elfman's NIGHTBREED (1990) - 2024 Intrada
Manakin Skywalker replied to Jay's topic in General Discussion
I've never heard this score until today, I can't say I was expecting the Meow Mix song to show up. -
The Bad Batch - The Clone Wars Spinoff show
Manakin Skywalker replied to Faleel's topic in General Discussion
Well is has to be about resurrection of some form, hence the term necromancer. Either way Palpatine's self-cloning project has to be going on at this time as well if his "son" is born within the next few years, and I'm sure he probably wasn't the first clone. -
The Bad Batch - The Clone Wars Spinoff show
Manakin Skywalker replied to Faleel's topic in General Discussion
It's called Project Necromancer, so I'm assuming it's just the origin of Palpatine's clones. Canonically they would've been made before ROTJ, so the timeline makes sense. EDIT: According to Wiki, Rey's father (a Palp clone of course) was born 12 years before ANH. Bad Batch S3 takes place around 17 BBY, so the timing is perfect. -

DIAGON ALLEY TRACK MOVIE vs SOUNDTRACK ALBUM
Manakin Skywalker replied to ALEXANDRE P's topic in JOHN WILLIAMS
I've often wondered about what the aborted "I Am The Senate" track might have contained. Was it just going to be sections of the actual cue, or was it going to be combined with another unreleased cue/s?- 26 replies

DIAGON ALLEY TRACK MOVIE vs SOUNDTRACK ALBUM
Manakin Skywalker replied to ALEXANDRE P's topic in JOHN WILLIAMS
Also on the same album, "Confrontation with Count Dooku and Finale". The finale is there, but no confrontation. And "Star Wars and the Revenge of the Sith"... where is the revenge? Is it safe? Is it alright?- 26 replies

TROS ending with stock music. You're welcome -
You don't. The handful of folks that like "film edits" for whatever reason would inevitably be a bit disappointed, but editing together the music as-recorded is quite simple actually, and still provides a relatively good listening experience. It's the sequel scores that I'd be more concerned with.

No jokes today, just an unfortunate apparent reality.

Just for clarification, that's the actual trumpet section that was meant to be there. The 1999 OST section is tracked from later in the cue, for some reason. EDIT: I see Crumbs already mentioned it. 👍

Star Wars Prequel Music Resource (part 2)
Manakin Skywalker replied to John Crichton's topic in JOHN WILLIAMS
It's the exact same recording as the one in the End Credits, just without the timpani hit at the end (and obviously not trailing off into the rest of the Credits recording). -
The Legacy of John Williams (Website & Podcast)
Manakin Skywalker replied to TownerFan's topic in JOHN WILLIAMS
He believes he's talking about Maurizio, but I think in reality he's talking about his past self and just projecting that onto someone else. -
Star Wars Prequel Music Resource (part 2)
Manakin Skywalker replied to John Crichton's topic in JOHN WILLIAMS
Alright, now in an official expansion we'll just need a third version with George singing along. 👍 -

Ah, that's just from the film stem. Too bad they didn't use the unused ending. -
Star Wars Prequel Music Resource (part 2)

I never realized that appeared anywhere! First time I'm hearing it as a non-mockup! (EDIT: Specifically the part at 0:09) -

Star Wars Prequel Music Resource (part 2)
Manakin Skywalker replied to John Crichton's topic in JOHN WILLIAMS
Too bad they felt the need to overlay another cue on top of it. EDIT: I did check the BF2 cutscenes and couldn't find anything that we don't already have clean from elsewhere. -
Star Wars Prequel Music Resource (part 2)
Manakin Skywalker replied to John Crichton's topic in JOHN WILLIAMS
Do you remember if they even contain anything we don't already have clean from other games? I seem to remember everything from those cutscenes being present elsewhere now. -
Star Wars Prequel Music Resource (part 2)
Manakin Skywalker replied to John Crichton's topic in JOHN WILLIAMS
Most likely going to be exactly the same since the cutscenes were pre-rendered, so I doubt the source files for those still exist. Only thing we can hope for is that the gameplay music will be uncompressed this time. I highly doubt that too, but the size of the re-release it quite large (mostly accounting for the AI upscaled textures though), so it's not out of the realm of possibilities. -
Kiner and Co. TCW and other SW Temp Record
Manakin Skywalker replied to Hego-Damask-II's topic in General Discussion
That and I think the flute/piccolo doesn't help. Almost makes it sound like a marching band performance or something.
