  1. Surprising. Fortunately for you, you didn't purchase one of the many bootlegs. I wouldn't recommend doing that again though, just in case.
  2. Those are fan edits, with the isolated scores done by people on here (plus they are not 100% accurate). Also, you should never buy fan edits on Blu-ray. Not only is it illegal, but it gives money to crooks and delegitimizes the work of the fans who make these edits. These edits are available for free, and can be found just about anywhere online. I've made a couple edits on the SWT Forums myself, and would be pretty pissed if I found someone trying to sell them or pass them off as legitimate releases.
  3. I know that at least half, if not most of the in-game music is taken from Battlefront 1&2 and Fallen Order. I haven't personally gone through much of the original in-game music yet though.
  4. Why that site hasn't been taken down yet I have no clue. I've alerted a few artists whose music is being illegally "sold" there, last I heard they were trying to have it taken down, but that was nearly a year ago.
  5. Elite Soundtracks is a well-known scam website. They will take your money and not send anything in return.
  6. Where's my fellow Attacking a Star Destroyer enthusiasts?
  7. Poor guy just wants to rest and everyone keeps reviving him constantly.
  8. Yikes, I thought you were exaggerating until I looked up the movie. The actual tag on IMDB is "Chinese communist party state propaganda". Maybe Disney forced him to score it. Danny Elfman is one of my favorite composers, but I'm kind of scared what a modern Danny Elfman Star Wars score would sound like...
  9. Man they really don't look that much older! Honestly I was expecting them to lean more into the "opening of the first film" look, having them look extra old (like in their hundreds or something this time), so it's definitely a shock how similar to the original they look in comparison to what I imagined!
  10. In that case it'll probably be at least another 5 or so years before we get another film, considering that Old Republic film rumor is most definitely bullshit.
  11. Definitely BS. The "leaker" just said they heard it from a friend, and didn't provide any sources.
  12. Sorry for the 19 year late reply (someone else linked to this thread), but what's the story behind this? Did The Santa Clause 2 really use music from Home Alone, or was OP simply mistaken? Because I can't seem to find anything about this on Google aside from this thread, nor is there anything mentioned on IMDB.
  13. Black Friday will be Time Tunnel Vol. 3 and the Battlefield 2042 soundtrack, calling it now!
  14. Whoa! Very interesting and different variations. The first iteration with the ethereal chorus sounds very unusual, almost reminiscent of some of the Jedi council material from TPM (most notably High Council Meeting) but slightly darker/creepier. Also almost a small reference to Jedi Steps (the part when Luke is revealed) around :43 in the last video. @ragoz350 Curious what VST you used for the ethereal chorus at the beginning of the first video? I kinda like the sound.
  15. I know Mike provided the fixed files when the issue was first discovered, although I'm not sure everyone got those.
  16. I attempted an action-y cue whilst my very slow hard drive was giving out. Reverb is a bit high for my taste, but it didn't turn out as bad as I thought it would given the circumstances. (Temp footage included) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_-BKcQ64M0nZGUexx_NrimcqELWgxmbi
  17. I always thought of Eddie Karam as a bit of an enigma. I could never really find much information about him online, and not even a single photo of him! Some pretty cool insights into how JW scores go about being orchestrated here!
  18. This flew completely under my radar! Wow, a separate album for each episode, so I assume all the music is probably released! But still, about $10 per episode, yikes...
  19. Or I suppose his rates could be pretty low so studios keep offering him projects, and he just doesn't know how to say no. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  20. I still have some hope for the score though, as I know JD wants to stay faithful to JW's original scores. The only way that wouldn't be the case is if the director pressured him to go a different direction, which I don't think will be the case. He has such as... interesting... range as a composer. It's funny to tell people "the guy who scored the Spongebob live-action movie also scored Passion of the Christ. And Iron Man 2. And the Orville. And a ton of movies nobody's ever heard of."
  21. Blu-ray/DVD films, due to the framerate being 23.976fps whereas the native film framerate is 24fps, results in the film's audio typically being too fast. Although I suppose how the tapes were transferred in '77 could've resulted in the audio a bit too slow in this case perhaps. I'm sure someone else would be able to explain it in better detail. Basically in essence no film audio is at the proper speed due to NTSC/PAL standards.
