  1. Score was interesting, if a bit long. It didn't have much information you couldn't glean from boards like JWFan, but it was cool to see so many of the composers whose work I listen to. Buster Scruggs was like a collection of the sort of classic short stories I read in middle school. I can see why it wouldn't be for everyone, especially if you're not big on the Coens, but I loved it. Great acting and characterizations throughout. Beautiful western scenery too.
  2. J.J. probably wants it to be Episode IX - Return to Form. I'd like it to be Episode IX - Return to Sender. In the end, it'll really be Episode IX - Return of the Fans Who Didn't Hate Episode VIII. Or they could just have another vague three word title like the last two -- A New Order or something like that.
  3. @anironwaffle I don't really have anything to add what you said, but thanks for posting it! It was a great read.
  4. DVD-A and SACD are dead, sure, but if surround took off in the domain of digital downloads, such a release could be very likely.
  5. Well, they could also release a surround sound version...
  6. Well alright then. Ordered! I also bought a FLAC download of Supes IV. Guess I can sell my blue box now!
  7. Silvestri has always been boring and generic. Elfman has always been brilliant, ok, or boring, but never generic.
  8. I don't think any of Silvestri's Marvel scores are the worst. I don't think any of them are great though.
  9. That was my guess for the Episode IX title 3 years ago, back when we were speculating about Episode VIII: I couldn't have been the first to think of it though. It's an obvious title.
  10. Nope, nothing wrong with it at all. It would be nice if the new tracks were mastered the same though.
  11. Getting rid of the force is what should happen? The fuck you smoking?
  12. OMG!! We might have to wait a few more months for Matessino's third release of this score?? Noooooo!!!
  13. There are people enjoying this? Why? It's just a post by a minor actor in a movie we know nothing about.
  14. Ok, first of all, the new Goldsmith LPs are not part of the final club batch. As quoted on Variety: The article also ends on a pretty positive note:
  15. They mess up more than most seem to notice or care about, but thankfully for the assembly and mastering, this was a Matessino project. Nice essay from John Takis too!
  16. I'm reserving judgment on the score without electronics presentation on disc 1, but I wouldn't be surprised if disc 2 remains the best presentation this score will ever have. I'm thrilled it was included!
  17. They'd be available on Vudu, FandangoNOW, Google Play, and Amazon for sure. Unfortunately, there are no 4K Disney movies on iTunes, probably because Apple refuses to price 4K movies higher than HD.
