The Revenge of the Sith. It was hard to choose between 3 fabulous scores. Quite a year for composer aged almost like Yoda...

Scores by Mr. Horner are not bad at all but for me it sounds like he has composed the same score during his whole career, nomatter,if its animation,lovestory or adventure...

At the very moment it seems that Christensen and Fiennes are both talented actors(4%)

These two soloplayers never sound boring,even if they are just practising some scales. And the music itself is oscarworthy...

I am going to by a bottle of good wine and listen to the Finale from Azkaban(I have always felt that patronus light and window to the past combination is like someone is turning to an other dimension) ... but I think we will see 17 nominations and three statues more...

Especially,if its played by the fabulous Boston orchestra.Oh man the previous albums sound great(the brass section sounds so rich and smooth)

I have something like 120+ albums From Jaws to Empire of the Sun also LPs . What I am missing is some of the real early stuff and Witches of Eastwick cd and Spacecamp whatsoever

I am just wondering if the Sith score is not eligible why do they bother to give nominations to the sequels(like Empire and Jedi)? It is very embarasing to see masterpieces like these to loose some stupid musical or copy of the famous violin concerto.

Williams won't even be nominated for Sith. It's a Star Wars film, no one in the Academy seems to dare to approach those Not as big a joke as that comment. Wrong, sex is magnificent, the Prequel scores are just enjoyable. No,if you enjoy the prequel music, it is great stuff. And sex is only sex(if I even remerber it,married with a throng of kids)

After hearing Geisha,I will be disapointted,if Williams doesnt win(or the Sith). And Alan Menkens statues are one of the biggest jokes by the academy(or the return of the king) And the prequel scores are Magnificent!

Starship troopers

I just performed highlights from LOTR and the KING music was a great disapointment for me.First I thougt it was some highschool arrangement but later heard it was original stuff. Maybe I am wrong and it was just a bad selection of films music,hope so. And I have to admit that fellowship music was almost very good...

Poor return of the king score

The Empire Strikes Back score by itself beats the whole LOTR trilogy music. First one has nice themes but the last one is poor. ...I am not sure,if it wan an oscar, it must a joke...

Sleepers.Never managed to run trought. There is also many "first-track" albums like 7 yrs in Tibet,Patriot, JFK... The first track is good and the rest ...but they are always so brilliant that I`ll buy them anyway..

Han Solo and the Princess. One of the most beautiful theme Williams ever written. There is also a strong feeling of hope and miss for better times under the surface... (played first by frenchhorn )

Especially the Return of the King music 8O

Best film composer ever for sure! It is hard to beat Wagner,Mahler & co`s but after hundred years he might be in the same group of those fellows. And the prequel scores are magnificent!

My favorite scenes are: Young Anakin leaving his mother in Episode I, and very end of the Anakin`s betrayal."there are too many of them,what are we going` to do?"(very beautiful choral music in it that is missing in my soundtrack) and Anakin`s dark deeds in Episode III. This is very good thread.I have to say there is nothing special in original trilogy that is so much better than the prequels.Music have changed a little bit but in the right direction. ...and I`m an old fart,was allready when Star Wars was released...
