TLJ vs. KOTCS  6 - 0

Again, I can't fully separate my enjoyment of the film and the score. I liked The Last Jedi reasonably well; I didn't like Kingdom of the Crystal Skull at all.

There is no LAW against it, and it's how capitalism works. Still, it doesn't mean that one should follow it blindly. There's one thing called solidarity, and if one -- just for a moment -- imagines oneself without a ticket, and how it would feel if people charged double prices and beyond (for a ticket that is already expensive to begin with), the choice shouldn't be so difficult.

For me - It depends on the point of view. As I said I am selling 4 extra tickets with profit as those corporations. The difference between me and those corporations is that Viagogo etc. are selling them for nonreasonable prices to those unlucky people .. and they are doing it with every event. I had to think about it very well and since I will have to pay 1000USD only to buy tickets for a train to London. I would use some extra money that can cover me expensive train ticket
 
Also, In a past I have sold one ticket for Morricone for original price and this ticket was lately acutioned for 3 more price.

But it's a false demand based entirely on people who don't "demand" the tickets snatching up the supply, and taking advantage of the consumer.

It's legal enough.  In the US, at least, it varies from area to area.  In a lot of places, there is a cap on mark-up, and limitations on where/when/how you scalp tickets.
 
Scalping tickets is always shitty, though.

I would implore the likes of @Incanus, @hornist and anyone else who was unlucky this morning not to despair.  Karol is right, as mentioned before many of the boxes at the Royal Albert Hall are privately owned so you find that box seats are randomly released for general sale in the weeks and months before the concert, generally without any fanfare or warning.  It is therefore worth checking the website every day (do not just rely on sales being announced on Twitter or wherever).
 
Also, did anyone buy a Gallery standing ticket?  No?  Then I reckon it is almost a 100% certainty that they will release Gallery tickets (numbering several hundred) in the coming weeks.  There is no way they will leave a whole section empty when the rest of the hall has sold out.  If anyone was wishing to attend on their own, I suggest ringing the RAH box office on 020 7589 8212 and asking if there are any 'fifth seats' in the second tier boxes available for sale.  I have no idea if there are, but it is surely worth a try and you might get one with a perfectly good view opposite the stage.
 
If they do not sell all the 'fine dining' boxes at exorbitant prices, you can also bet that the seats will come up for general sale at normal prices close to the date of the concert.  I appreciate that those from overseas also have travel considerations and no doubt need to know for definite whether or not they have a ticket, but please don't give up!  And don't pay touts for tickets at inflated prices either!
 
I will randomly check the website whenever I remember and post here if I see any tickets available in the coming weeks and months.  I am here to offer hope to the JW Fan massive.
 
 

First of all, I'm deeply sorry for all the JWFans who didn't make the final rush and ended up with no ticket. I'm especially sorry for Pasi and Mikko, as I was looking forward to meet them in person. I hope you guys will manage to snag a ticket in some way!
 
Guys, I think this concert could end up as the biggest JW event in history. I can only imagine the excitement and joy that will be in the Hall that night (I very much hope there are plans to record/film the whole concert). And to be there with my loved one, my best friends and all of you who will be there is gonna be even more amazing.

Is it really that bad?  Supply and demand and all that.  It's an investment where you buy something that increases in value dramatically when it becomes more scarce.

Well I already had the tickets in my shopping cart and ready to go but when I tried to pay I I had to do an extra confirmation for my credit card payment through my bank account and I didn't have my bank codes with me at work. This hasn't been the norm with any of my internet purchases before. So NO TICKETS!!!!!

That's crazy. I think the closest in terms of price was the Horner concert in Vienna, also in 2013. But this one beats them all; feels like I just bought a Justin Bieber ticket (the waiting line, the price etc.).
 
 
Sure! But you'll get one, no worries. The fact that we got Arena tickets after being relatively behind in the line system, means there are a LOT available.

Or maybe those defending Williams' work truly believe it is a great soundtrack, even for a Star Wars score, and have just as every bit a right to their own opinion as those criticizing the score?

I disagree. TLJ is an excellent score and very effective in the film. I’m starting to like it more than TFA.

Maybe we can make a bot that will auto-comment "The Last Jedi score is bad" when someone bumps one of these threads so the same usual suspects who feel the need to chime in about how bad the score is every single time these threads get bumped can save themselves a lot of time.

At the Chamber of Secrets Live to Projection concert at the moment. Brilliant performance thusfar and I actually appreciate the second score more after hearing it live.

2001 is probably the most overrated film ever. Never couldn't sit it through, I don't do drugs. Would prefer Alex North's music, easily tbh.
