  1. Cool, good thing it's unlimited too, I've just spent a lot for the McCartney tickets, so I'll order it later in the year, I'll probably wait until I see what LLL's Comicon releases are.
  2. Some essential Elfman: Batman, Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas. Some essential Goldsmith: Poltergeist, Star Trek, The Omen.
  3. He really doesn't do that many themes for scores lately.
  4. We didn't get the bonus track here. They didn't have the poster cover when I got it so I got the Jango one which seemed like the best of the rest, probably should have looked elsewhere but the urge to listen to the damn thing was probably too big... boy was I going to be dissapointed.
  5. That would certainly keep us busy for a while.
  6. 1. Hook 2. The Nightmare Before Christmas 3. Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace 4. Batman Returns 5. Edward Scissorhands 6. The Rocketeer 7. Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (though really I should include most of the work for Batman: TAS) 8. Jurassic Park 9. Robin Hood 10. Stargate 11. First Knight Edit: Sh*t! I forgot Mask of the Phantasm (shame on me)... so I'll just go one step beyond and make it 11.
  7. I'd say with the prequels and Indy 4, Williams is certainly catching up.
  8. Out of curiosity, and I mean no offense whatsoever, but why the sudden interest in Goldsmith, Josh??
  9. 1. Star Wars 2. The Empire Strikes Back 3. Temple of Doom 4. Superman 5. Jaws
  10. The CD would be perfect if they hadn't included "Cornish Pixies" which is, I believe the same as "The Flying Keys" from PS. Had they dropped that and added something new it would be perfect. Then again I can't really recall a lot of memorable unreleased music, though it's been a while since I've seen the movie. There's some nice music when they're on Ron's house I think, and I'm sure I heard the Chamber theme somewhere in the movie, while on the CD it's only on the concert piece.
  11. Did Colombus (he directed this one, right?) know he was getting Star Wars music in his film?
  12. This score has some of the best post-2000 Williams themes, in fact the new stuff is really good, I probably listen to it more than PS. The problem is the rehash music, which is made even worse by our knowledge of the new themes. Is such a shame to have a great theme like the Chamber go to waste. And the AOTC rehash is almost embarrassing. Still, it's a pretty good score, may even be my favorite Potter score.
  13. The films, mainly AOTC, are such a mess in their finished form, I can't even imagine seeing them in a rough edit still with animatics and blue screen, which is what Williams had to score. A lot of the mentioned wasted opportunities were probably not even in the film when Williams saw it, how can you blame him?? And even if they were there, they probably were in an even more videogamy look, Williams probably had no fucking idea what a lot of scenes were about (and a lot of them, even finished are about nothing and make no sense). As much as I don't like the score, Williams probably did the best given the material.
  14. I blame the films not Williams, perhaps when he was younger he could have come up with something great for such terrible movies, but at that point in his life and given what had happened with the Episode I score I get a feeling he just didn't care so much. But I can't blame him, afterall, Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones is the worst thing ever made by a human... except for the bagpipes.
  15. Also, now we have a release date: October 26th
  16. Some details have surfaced about The Force Unleashed II: So, we could get some unreleased AOTC stuff.
  17. It is strange that KM left out "The Great Train Robbery" it's Goldsmith's most Williamsesque score from what I've listened.
  18. Rebirth - from "Poltergeist" The Road to Masada - from "Masada" Flying High/End Title - from "The Secret of N.I.M.H." The Enterprise - from "Star Trek" Pilot Over - from "Rambo"
  19. I think putting on a video on youtube to show off you have music no one else have is lame. If you're not going to share (which is probably the right thing to do) then keep it to yourself.
  20. His film about the Ghostbuster's locations is worth seeing.
  21. It is interesting, the re-recording sounds more "Herrmannish" to me, so it's an interesting take on the score.
  22. Again?? How often do you lose him?? Be sure to hang on to him this time.
  23. Stepmom, the complete recordings. Now that would have been a good Apri Fool's joke.
