  1. But, but... what about the amazing Han Solo and the Princess from Gerhardt or Ewok Celebration.
  2. What if he's refering to another Mr. Williams twitting (or however you write that)?? For some reason I always thought Hook was from Universal but I was wrong, it's from Tri-Star, so yeah Sony may own the music, although it could also be owned by Amblin. That improves things, as long as Mr. Williams is not too involved in the release (sad but true). I still think it's too early, and therefore expensive, to be Hook.
  3. I wouldn't get too exited about Hook, it's day will come for sure but I don't think it'll be so soon. Also there's a difference between owning something and having the license. I'm guessing Sony has the license but either Universal or Spielberg (doubt it's him though) own the music.
  4. Whatever... I understand they might not be able to announce whatever they working on, and it's not because I'm impatient and need to know what's coming, but it is getting to be a very expensive hobby and a being able to do a little planning would be a lot of help.
  5. I've said many times that I would really like it if the labels could come up with, at the very least, a 3 or 4 month calendar of upcoming releases. I would have liked to order "The Spiral Road" and would have waited to order Black Sunday, The Flash and the rest of the stuff I've just got and I wouldn't have ordered Legend (which is not limited and could wait, not to mention that "The Spiral Road" seems like it could be better). As it is, I don't think I'm going to order it now.
  6. There's plenty Star Wars in there, especially Death Star stuff. Some of the percussion reminded me a lot of SW. You can definately tell it's from the same year.
  7. That would have made the ROTS CD much better.
  8. Black Sunday of which I already gave my thoughts on the Black Sunday thread. Players. Nice one, the love theme reminds of The Twilight Zone.
  9. I finally got it and gave it a first listen. It's allright, the first part is a bit hard to get trough but the second part is really good even if it lacks a bit of identity. It's Munich meets The Towering Inferno with some seeds of what was to come, namely Star Wars. That's what I think makes it interesting to listen from a more scholar point of view, you can hear the Star Wars Williams just waiting to be unleashed.
  10. Well, I'm guessing Mexico's score market is so small or even non-existant that they just don't bother. It depends a lot on that label, Alice in Wonderland is aparently scheduled to be on stores this friday, and at a very good price (around 10 bucks), so nice one Disney. Anything from Varese though and I have to wait for the stores, and we really only have one monopolic chain that carries soundtracks, to get an imported copy and it's usually above $30 for a single CD, like Star Trek last year.
  11. The only thing that I don't like about Varese is that they don't seem to do international releases (at least you'll get your CD eventually), I'm looking for The Wolfman on CD (import of course) and nothing, it's looking more and more like another iTunes purchase.
  12. Don't be a drama queen. We need Williams worshipers in the board. Going back on topic, since Goonies already has a thread so what about The Spiral Road? Like I said I like the samples, although I couldn't possibly get it now Anyone has seen the movie, is it good?
  13. Well, we'll just have to disagree on that one, even if they're better, sweep the floor is kinda extreme. Anyway, IMO Star Wars and Empire sweep the floor with everything else (LOTR included) so there...
  14. For the most part, yes. Although I'm just talking about your "need" to point out that every non-Williams grail release it's not good and that everyone who wants it is wrong. About that Lord of the Rings and Giacchino stuff, I don't know, I'm not talking about that. I'm on your side when I read something crazy like the LOTR scores sweeping the floor with Williams' Potters.
  15. You're allowed to say anything you like (except bootlegs, those don't exist!), but the reason everyone thinks you only listen to Williams comes from comments like that was. Today it was Goonies, but it happened with Airplane, BTTF, Innerspace. Just let people be happy for the moment these are released and then when the score is being discussed I'm sure you can give insightful notes.
  16. We just got Black Sunday, and it's almost certain that we'll get Family Plot this year, so it won't be a bad Williams year. Unfortunately the stuff you want the most is in the evil clutches of Lucasfilm. Who knows, maybe the Force Unleashed 2 will be helpful in your quest for complete prequel scores.
  17. Well, the thing is KM, and don't take this the wrong way, that I don't have a problem if you only listen to Williams or not, if you think he's god or not. What I don't get is your need to rain on everyone's parade. It's quite allright if you don't care about The Goonies, I don't either, but people here are happy it's coming out and your first reaction is "Oh that one is not good, people just want it cause it's unreleased". Let people be happy, it's not like anyone was attacking Williams.
  18. You didn't listen to Black Sunday, presumably one of your grails?
  19. The Spiral Road sounds really nice but I just got Black Sunday, Players, The Flash and Legend, and I plan to get Alice in Wonderland this week (if it's released here so fast). No way I can order any more CDs, it's getting really crazy.
  20. Hook is the score we need expanded the most and you didn't even mention it!
  21. The Force Unleashed 2 is probably closer to OT times, it's hard to tell, since in the good ending you died, and the bad ending has been continued on the Tatooine and Hoth missions, but they might use more OT music.
  22. I'm guessing you guys already have this or know about this, but just in case, the Hoth level has just been released for the PS3 and there's a good part of the Sidious vs Windu music when you fight Luke.
