  1. The thing with Temple of Doom for me, is that it is my third favorite score, only behind Star Wars and Empire, so it's one of those few scores I really, really need to have complete and there are still three or four good cues unreleased. That said, I've always defended the very criticized Indy boxset, I'm very happy with it and it did contain all of the tracks I wanted the most, in fact in terms of music selection and given that the release wasn't going to be complete I think Bouzereau nailed it, with the exception maybe of "The Secret Passage".
  2. I'd be satisfied with: 1. Hook 2. Temple of Doom 3. Revenge of the Sith That's it really, I'd buy a complete Phantom Menace, but between the two CD releases and the videogames that is pretty complete already. Hell, I would probably buy Clones as bad as that is. But other than that I'm happy with what I've got.
  3. Greedo shooting first does alter the story, it may not be huge, but Han Solo's arc is changed by the fact that Greedo shoots.
  4. I'm going on June 12th, I'm not overly excited about it, but this sort of thing is rare in Mexico so it's a good oportunity to go to a Star Wars concert, lasers and shit notwithstanding. There hasn't been a concert like this since Kunzel came in 2004. It should be good I think. The whole thing is also overshadowed by the fact that McCartney is coming on May 27th and that is a much, much bigger deal for me.
  5. I think his point is that everything is "old-world" looking, so why have a futuristic gondola? Which is a fair point, it is a strange sight since it looks like a spaceship, why would a gondola look like a spaceship even in the future? I agree with him but it is heavy nitpicking though.
  6. Actually they were sent to make some strange negotiations with what they think it's a coward race, being poisoned was probably the last thing they would imagine, so yeah I have no problem with them drinking the tea even without using their feelings.
  7. One really good thing about these reviews is that, for the most part, he doesn't go after the easy targets, he only mentions Jar Jar a couple of times as a cartoon rabbit, he doesn't say anything about the Boss Nass drooling thing or the two-headed announcer.
  8. I don't mind his voice at all, he sounds like that lobster guy from Futurama. Sometimes indeed the way he says things help the effect, like the "they're smiling, they're in love" bits. For some reason I loved that bit in the TPM review after the old guy says "A comunication disruption can mean only one thing, invasion" and he says "it could also mean you didn't pay your phone bill", there's something in the way he said that line that really got me.
  9. The difference between what a guy and a girl look for in a relationship was just hilarious, and french Anakin and that edit of Yoda from Empire shaking his head with the footage of Lucas going "in the digital world I can do whatever I want and shit" was gold. The whole review had me laughing uncontrollaby. Oh and Rick McCallum's face on the TPM review... he knows they made shit, he knows...
  10. No, the OT has flaws, you can bash the Ewoks for example, you could say that Luke's behaivor is a bit strange in SW, the duel however is not one of those flaws, and even if it was so lame, there's no way the Prequel ones are better.
  11. Why do you say that? When did MV ever say they only had one John Williams release in the works? They haven't said that, they also haven't said that have more than one though. But the whole "maybe Hook is coming thing" started with the comment that MV was hoping Mr. Williams didn't use twitter (or something like that), it is clear that he was refering to this release I think, considering it was released on the same day as ID4 (the one we found out from twitter). It just makes sense to me that he was refering to Poseidon and not Hook. I'm not saying we're not getting it someday, just that is not the release from LLL we were hoping.
  12. It is when it's completely false, the Star Wars duel is superior to any prequel duel, because it's real, not an acrobatic dance and because it's about something, it's about revenge and sacrifice not like in the prequels where it is "oh, you're the bad guy for this movie right?, guess we'll have to fight, so how many sabers can you twirl at the same time?"
  13. So... I'm guessing the odds for Hook have diminished considerably
  14. It started with the suggested stupid idea that it the duel in Star Wars was lame, so it actually started with OT bashing. Yeah it's really sad they couldn't replace Alec Guinness with CGI on those days. If only the OT had more CGI Terminators twirling four sabers at the same time, cause that really makes for good action and drama!
  15. Save yourselves from dissapointment, there's no way in hell he'll release the originals. In fact I'd be very very surprised if it's even the same DVD versions, I'm almost sure he's shitted CGI turds all over the OT for this release. Lucas is just an asshole.
  16. All of the PT duels are overly choreographed, they're too perfect and that makes them look phoney, they're more like a ballet, it doesn't look real. Compare with ROTJ when Luke is totally pissed off and charges against Vader, that looks real, cuase that's how someone really pissed would fight, no twirling and jumping around like a dance. On an emotional level, there's no comparison, in TPM, a door opens, Maul is there and we have 3 people fighting for no real reason, or at least for a reason we don't care. Again compare with ROTJ when Luke would rather go to the dark side in order to protect Leia, he beats the shit out of Vader and realises he's becoming just like his father and at that moments decides to throw away his weapon. That's powerful stuff. That's drama. Even the "worst" episode of the OT is a thousand times better than the prequels.
  17. Nobody wanted the Indy box set more than I did. I think it's a matter of difference in sensibilities. Well, if, as you said, it was indeed 10 years ago, I was much younger (still a teen) with very different perspectives on life and problems and stuff. In the end, and that's the last thing I'll say on this thread, my point is that saying something is coming when it's not, it's not particularly hilarious. That's all.
  18. Not angry (I am on a rather bad mood but that's beside the point) because I didn't fall for it, I do think it's in a bit of poor taste, this is a Williams forum, as you must be perfectly well aware there are threads were people go over and over some videogames looking for, sometimes, even 30 or 45 seconds of unreleased music from the prequels and it seems to me to be a mean-spirited joke. The Giacchino joke for example was a better, more harmless joke. If you don't like "cheating" all right, but if it's not April 1st I don't think is fair game, so again I think it's a bit like cheating. As for the intolerance, well that's for the over the top sarcasm of "sorry I caused you so much pain" I got because I just didn't think the joke was funny. And yes the Indy prank whenever it was did piss me off a lot.
  19. And where exactly did I mention it caused me a lot of pain? I didn't fall for it, since it's not the first time the site has done a joke like this, I believe one of the first April Fool's pranks was about expanded or complete Indy scores a few years back. Anyway, something like "You all want this, right? Well, it's coming... Wait it's not, SUCKERS!!!" doesn't strike me as a hilarious masterpiece, sorry if I ofended your fantastic sense of humor. Since it was obvious, that's why you had to cheat. And I don't have to come up with anything better since I don't run the site nor do I play any jokes or even celebrate April Fool's since in Mexico it's on another day, December 28th actually. The lack of tolerance for any criticism has quite frankly made this place annoying.
  20. And that's cheating, it's April Fools DAY not WEEK. And it was probably a lot of work for what was a very lame joke.
  21. It seems this is coming to Mexico City in June, so I may go to see it.
  22. Lego Batman, also from Warner, uses Elfman's score apparently from the CD, so I wouldn't expect anything unreleased. It seems giving to the game developers the complete tapes is a Lucasfilm/Lucasarts thing.
  23. The rumor comes from the fact that LLL made a deal with Sony to release some of their stuff, so a few people are assuming it's Hook, even if some think it's way too early for Hook, not to mention the possible Williams or Spielberg meddling.
