  1. Does that one have memes in it too? This is my main question. In the sense of if the Telltale game retains the kind of humor and general writing quality of the original games. If so I'm not that interested. For the most part I was not a fan of Gearbox's comedic style.
  2. Anakin's theme is underrated. I wish it had been developed through the latter two prequels. I assume that was Lucas' decision and not Williams'.
  3. It's a basic economic principle that if you flush the market with the same or similar product the consumer will eventually get tired of it. This will happen to the wave of superhero movies that the film industry is awash in now regardless of the quality of the films themselves. Some day expanded universe-style comic book movie making will fall out of fashion.
  4. There's no way the main title won't be in the this. I certainly would want it to go anywhere; it just is Star Wars as far as the main number films go. The anthology films are where you can change it up with the music.
  5. I could easily see this being true given Disney's secretive approach to marketing thus far. I would prefer if it came out before the movie because I am impatient and greedy, but there are certainly advantages to it coming out after the film too.
  6. Going by the title I reckon the Force theme will get some extensive use, probably more than the other classic themes should they arise.
  7. Of course not. Star Wars is in a better place now than it has been at least since the 90's. And by that I mean the franchise is now most likely going to be delivering quality entertainment on a consistent basis. The TV show Rebels is good, many of the books and comics have been good, and Episode VII at least looks amazing. This is what matters, not the sheer amount that is being marketed. Because Star Wars has always been that way, always been a multi-tiered marketing powerhouse; the only difference now is the spin-off films are actually getting made. But the universe of the series is so rich, one of the richest in pop culture, that it feels like a proper exploration rather than soulless money grabs. And I say that not being fully on board with the Han Solo movie or Trevorrow directing Episode IX.
  8. The PS4 performing that well is weird considering its relative lack of high caliber exclusives. I don't think it has had a killer app with a wide audience. But that's the power of marketing and swaying public opinion. Microsoft is still recouping after the disastrous launch of the Xbone.
  9. I love Giacchino's Up the most. And I've enjoyed most Pixar scores.
  10. This will be coming to my neck of the woods in June. I will be there.
  11. I haven't finished it yet but story-wise at least Arkham Knight is better than Arkham City. Knight feels like a cohesive conclusion to Rocksteady's trilogy whereas City felt too disparate. Cohesive storytelling across multiple games is a rare thing in the industry. But the ending will be the deciding factor as far as that goes. Gameplay-wise they are virtually the same except for the batmobile, which I generally like despite having controls that are on the clunky side. So I've been more impressed with this than the previous games, just the scale and depth of it.
  12. I love the packaging on this album. The insert and CD art is very tastefully done.
  13. Wow, this sucks. Very unexpected. I'm not too familiar with his whole catalog but several of his scores have resonated with me over the years. I consider Braveheart to be one of my top favorites for sure. The guy was too young, had too much left to give. RIP.
  14. Well, few things are worse than that conference. Sony's 2006 one is. Microsoft's done a good job of improving things since then.
  15. Agreed. The only thing holding it back for me is the lack of KOTOR 3. Yeah, the Star Wars game Bioware is doing has been the only major oversight so far. But I can't complain. Everyone seems to be taking things to the next level.
  16. This has been a monumental E3 so far. Total craziness out of Sony.
  17. What a life this man lead. Sad that a true legend's no longer with us but he had an incredible run. Any one of his achievements would have been enough of a highlight for a lifetime.
  18. This is an instant buy for me. This is one of my top Williams scores and is wholly deserving of a special re-release.
  19. The statement of the JP theme sounds exactly like Williams... except for the little string progressions that insert Giacchino's personality in there.
  20. I'm not going to judge the score based on number of themes, new or old. It's about how they are used. The execution is most important.
