I thought the same thing when I saw the film in 1997.

The Season 2 Finale of HBO’s Euphoria opens with the main theme from The Fury! Not a needle drop I was expecting, but it definitely fit in with the melodramatic nature of the series, and the emotional swings of the character it appears alongside in particular. 
I’m sure it will be unknown to 99.9% of the audience - but it sure did work! Was delighted to here it.

That last episode has kind of made me give-up on the show completely. It's not like it was awful but I'm starting to see patterns forming and getting an idea of all the things that I really, really don't want to see in a TV show and I'm a bit tired of being jerked around by side missions (major deja vu here...)

It also doesn't really feel like Star Wars, sure it looks like it because it's cramming in iconic imagery almost every second (if the Wort that burps in the ROTJ Special Edition counts as iconic I guess), but it's severely lacking the style and tone of Star Wars. I'm not quite sure what style and tone it even has, it just feels very...empty. And it's frustrating because they're playing around with some great elements of the Star Wars universe but it's being done in a way that makes it feel like it was written by a simpleton. I actually can't fathom how clueless and dumb Boba Fett is and the ramping up of the sympathetic and vulnerable angle is making it even more off-putting, disrespectful even. It's like they extrapolated the one strategically poor choice he made in ROTJ that got him Sarlacc'd as a key trait of his character, and unless it's played for comedy it really does not work.

I'm getting annoyed at all the newfangled and ridiculous melee weapons they keep giving characters, especially in situations when they 100% should be using a gun. Looking at you Black Krssantan, I understand you're a gladiator but what the fuck kind of assassination attempt was that.

S01E02… That little dance they did at the end. 😂
 
I’m sorry, but I am still unconvinced.

... So I'm in the group of people that didn't like it. I found the episode boring and badly done. I'm not a fan of The Mandalorian, but I put the quality of this episode among the worst of the two. Is quite sad for me to see something with the "Star Wars" name and feel so disconnected.
 
I'm glad many people enjoy the path that Favreau and Filoni are taking to the franchise but this is not for me.

First episode is total cringe. Bad script, bad acting and bad effects. Bad, bad, bad all around.
 
I’ve seen fan films that held my attention better than this (I actually managed to fall asleep despite watching it in the middle of the day and being a huge OT and Mandalorian fan).

That was a…rough first episode. I can’t quite figure out why the action directing is so clunky, it feels like when someone gets hit that camera frames are being cut out. The staging also has problems, most notable being why Boba Fett and Fennec Shand didn’t have guns at all in that scene - they even had them in the concept art!
 
Seeing some red flags for Fett’s characterisation as well. I was worried that since he’s the protagonist they’d start sanding off his edges and that seems to be the case. Found it very hard to buy Fett would give two shits about the Rodian in the camp, and wouldn’t have just escaped on his own.

With all due respect, you're a broken record. You don't need to come into every expansion announcement and declare the release doesn't interest you. We get it. Move on and post in threads that do interest you.
 
Can you seriously not understand how your perpetually negative sentiment around remasters/expansions would be deflating to Mike and the various people working their asses off to produce these releases? Not to mention Williams himself, who seems to be rapt with these updated presentations of his scores.

While skimming the article and got excited when I saw... all remastered, complete but then...  with new artwork and a collectible mini-poster.

I still think there’s a good chance the whole film will be scrapped. It’s been in talks and in the works for years. It’s as if Disney isn’t very confident about the success and\or interest of this franchise, even with Ford involved.

Assuming Indy 5 is still happening, on schedule and Williams is still willing, he could start working on it later this year.

Damn some of those images are pretty incredible. As cheesy as it is there’s something moving about Leia sending one last hologram to the galaxy to ask for their aid. It certainly packs more or a punch than Lando showing up out of nowhere with an entire fleet for some reason

TROS definitely deserved the nom.  If Disney had promoted the score more and made more of a to-do about this being Williams last SW film after 40+ years, he could have a chance to win.  Disney really dropped the ball on this one when I think he could have had a good chance at winning.  The winner will likely be Joker, though.

While the TROS music is excellent, it has very little presence and impact in the film... which is what really killed Williams' chances of winning. And it doesn't help that the film wasn't well received, either. He'll no doubt be nominated since the music branch probably recognizes its brilliance outside of the film.

I thought the Fisher scenes looked pretty good.  I was expecting something weird like the young Leia from RO.  It was obvious the dialogue was written around Carrie's sound bites but it wasn't jarring to me.  I think they did they best they could use existing footage and it was very respectful to the late actress.  However, I would have liked to see a funeral for Leia (in the same vain as Padme's) instead of the characters hovering over her body covered with a white sheet.
 
What really looked odd to me were the young faces of Luke and Leia - not at all natural or real looking.  Their fencing outfits were odd, too.
