  1. No, because he said he was done with films, right? He's done enough, he needs to enjoy the time he has left.
  2. I think I asked him about recording ideas before the concert, and he said he had no ideas. It's proabbly copyright nonsense no sensible human being cares about, but maybe he could use his Italian charm. I'm sure JW wouldn't mind us having the Milan concert.
  3. I'm really excited to try your alternate OST program suggestion. But I want to take things further still: I'm going to insert the Boston Pops concert arrangements in it.
  4. I'm just starting to listen to the Hook Pre-Concorde bootleg, just to see how bad it is. Violin totally botching Hook's March. Nice.
  5. But this is what I don't understand. Flashpoint, as an album, is great. But we can't have a second disc that contains those B-sides, and thereby covering everything. Meanwhile, Steel Wheels 2000 seems to favour different performances, which I don't want. Straightforward releases would be heaven.
  6. But it still seems to be missing Play with Fire, which Wikipedia says was recorded too.
  7. Question: I'm looking to buy Flashpoint by the Rolling Stones, but am I correct in saying that, for some stupid reason, a complete album was never released? They seem to have recorded more stuff that was only released as b-sides, whatever those are.
  8. Not insensitive at all, but I'm not quite sure how to answer it. Do you mean, how do I watch them? Well, in this case I'd just be enjoying the surround version as opposed to the stereo mix, provided they've invented better hearing aids by that time since my right eardrum had to go and become all funny and healing is not something it wants to. Or do you mean, why would I want to watch them with someone? Maybe to ask their opinion on what they see or the occasional description of what they see. Or because I'm guessing it would be more exciting for them to watch instead of just listen. Does that answer your question?
  9. I don't doubt it. But once you CAN do it it surround, properly, you should.
  10. I have both, bought only so I could watch them with an as of yet non-existent other half at a distant point in the future for her conversion to JW.
  11. Because it can. Because it always sounds better if the music has a little more room to breathe.
  12. I'm curious, what's so special about Japan? As in, why do they often seem to get SACD releases etc. that would sell in other countries too? Why Japan?
  13. Huh, same seems to be happening with Groundhog Day.
  14. That's just plain weird. How did it work in theatres then?
  15. I just got Presumed Innocent on DVD. Is it normal there's only a 2 channel audio track? Was no surround sound version released?
  16. Green hornet, halfway. Here we go again, Seth Rogen playing a guy you hate after an hour, pfff. Wonder what Beethoven recording they used.
  17. HP1 especially is a score you just need from beginning to end. And if one needs to cut, one should stick to the film order and not waste time on a suite that nobody was missing to begin with because they didn't know it. Mind, I don't understand why JKR had to be difficult about a separate release. Her books made people read, why couldn't they make people listen to the orchestra?
