  1. Does anyone think LOST could successfully be brought back like so many other revivals? I know Lindelof and Cuse wouldn’t want to, but what are some theoretical plot/timelines that could be explored in a revival?
  2. Are you referring to “Across The Sea?” I love it.
  3. I don’t think Abrams had much to do with the show outside of the pilot and the general premise. It was Lindelof and Cuse that were the show runners. And yes, a lot of it was made up as it went along, but that makes the show much more satisfying, in my opinion. Some long running mysteries were poorly resolved, but on the whole, they made it all work quite well. Again, it’s important to understand this show aired during an era where the norm was to run a series into the ground until it got cancelled. Giacchino’s music is his magnum opus, and an important character in the show all on its own.
  4. I recently finished my rewatch. Still holds up for being nearly 20 years old! Season 5 is my favorite. Sawyer is still one of my favorite fictional characters. Terry O’Quinn is a master of his craft, especially in Seasons 5 and 6.
  5. I guess I should revisit it at some point. I think I fell off around Season 8 or 9.
  6. Is this show still funny? I can’t imagine it is after 16 years.
  7. For those unfamiliar with Powell’s score, you must remedy immediately.
  8. It’s heavy stuff, for sure! Druckmann says Part I is about love, and Part II is about hate.
  9. Wow! Definitely picking this up. Wish it included Powell’s masterful score though. One of my favorite comedies.
  10. I’ve been playing a lot of Fall Guys and MWII lately. Picked up Gotham Knights on sale and it’s really bad.
  11. He was recast because he got COVID during filming. I think Steve Carrell was the one who replaced him.
  12. Whatever happened, happened. You can’t change the past no matter what. That’s the rule they set forth in Season 5 and stuck to. It gets muddled and convoluted quickly when sci-fi tackles time travel. I think LOST handled it better than most. As far as I recall, the only paradox is the compass moving between Locke and Richard.
  13. Yep. There are some moments that do make me laugh out loud, but it’s definitely a heavy show.
  14. It gets better as it goes on, in my opinion. I’ve come to like the characters a lot more.
  15. It’s not bad, it’s just not anything special, to me. I’d rather watch something dumb and entertaining like The Lost World.
  16. Of the ones I’ve seen: Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull The Adventures Of Tin Tin The Color Purple Hook War Of The Worlds
  17. I picked Dazed And Confused 4K, The Adventures Of Baron Munchausen 4K, and Inland Empire.
  18. The girl addresses the name in the trailer. Is it not intentional? She says it means “sucker.”
  19. The Fireflies were humanity’s last shot at a cure. They’re “shabby” because that’s how dire the world has become. Joel sacrificed everything because he couldn’t lose another daughter, and potentially killed the only remaining doctor that could have developed a vaccine. It was an entirely selfish decision. He lied to Ellie because he knew she would have wanted to sacrifice herself for the cure, not to spare her feelings. As she told him moments before they were attacked, their journey couldn’t be for nothing. Joel made it all for nothing.
  20. It was in the video I posted earlier. Starting at 56:47 I feel like he might just be misremembering things himself. But for what it’s worth, he mentions that Greg Miller (of Kinda Funny) actually introduced him to the studio that was going to make it and Greg passively corroborates it.
  21. I think the score is too iconic for them to abandon that sound, even if they go with someone outside RCP.
