I don't listen to her Loki scores on their own, but it was definitely a far far superior effort to Obi-Wan and definitely enhanced the show.

This might sort of belong in a classical thread, because it's not just a solo album, it's an orchestral ballet score!

Sad but true. There were parts that were ok on their own, and some ideas that were good in theory, but overall dramatically inert and fucked with the canon in baffling ways.

I'd agree if Top Gun and Avatar were anything but token nominees. Neither are in the running for the actual win.

I don't watch them live anymore because I'd have to stay up past my bedtime . I record the show and skip through it the next day to watch the speeches and whatever, turning the 3 hours show into a 30 minute thing.

The racial aspect is not interesting to me at all, a narrative created by people who look for reasons to outraged about something, anything, as usual. I just found it interesting that they ran this campaign tactically in a way that hadn't been done before, coordinating all these famous connections via social media. I don't think it's unfair or outrageous, but it will be very influential I think.

There's a definitely a balance of recognizing that on average certain jobs appeal to men more than women temperamentally (and vice versa), while also not discouraging those that are the outliers of either sex.

Of all the Best Picture winners I've seen, it's a toss-up between Birdman and American Beauty as my least favorite. Awful movies.
