That is ... not TFA... well, that's a deleted scene from TFA but with an entirely new background composited in! And it matches the shot and clothing of Leia as seen in the TROS trailer!!!
 
JW is already recording TROS?!
 

I'm gonna keep my expectations in check!  My main prediction is that he will deliver a great score for this particular film.

Let's hope that also means he gave JW that cameo we all want!

Not really with an album I already but, but sometimes when an expansion comes out I just can't stop listening to it over and over again for a long time.
 
This happened in a big way when The Lost World expansion came out, I listened to it seemingly daily for months.  

Just to interject some over the topness: I think in 20 years time, this piece will be considered by most John Williams fans as one of his top 20 pieces (SW or otherwise).  The main melodies (particularly the adventure melody), while not his best ever, are very strong.  The structure, orchestrations, complexity, and just pure JW goodness combine for a brilliant, vibrant, and engaging five-minute acoustical odyssey.

I really enjoy the sound of the prequels on the remastered Disney OSTs.

I really hope Williams keeps up this momentum and vibe as he works his way through TROS.

Since the assembly line style isn't my cup of tea, they all have their original poster logos now.
Except for The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker, those I made from scratch inspired by Jim Titus' ideas and my own personal taste.

I was expecting you to say you'd grown to appreciate one of the extended JW releases!

The ALWAYS soundtrack. Used to dislike/was utterly bored by everything except "Dorinda Solo Flight" and "Follow Me", but I now love the whole thing. Beautiful, textural writing. Goes to show how much my taste has changed in the last decade or so. Less enthused about the big and bombastic these days; more into the calm and textural, generally speaking.

Let's be real, though, how many film scores would this supposed retirement take from us?
 
Outside of the film world, he seems to be getting his hands busy with all these new arrangements for Anna Sophie-Mutter, etc. This is the aspect of his work that I don't see stopping, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it continue at a more or less steady pace.
