  1. Hang on... car people house is it Lincoln?
  2. It’s a little known fact that talented Queen guitarist Brian May is also an accomplished film composer (I think I read that in a Sony Classical post)
  3. Great pics thanks for sharing. Anyone notice if it was filmed?
  4. July 96 with the LSO, Barbican, London. Fond memories! Sorry I can’t be there this weekend. Have a fab time all who are going.
  5. A wishful vote. Reivers would be fantastic but I don’t have high hopes.
  6. @AlanMe too. First time live to projection for me plus my fave Star Wars score! Plus Dirk Brossé who did such a great job at the Celebration concert. Going with my bestie and his daughter, both fans who have yet to experience JW music live so looking forward to that too. Enjoy!
  7. The LSO indeed played their hearts out tonight. Beautiful organic sound and dynamic conducting from M. Brossé. Left on a high I honestly didn’t expect to experience. Hope the Maestro felt the love
  8. Thanks Mr. Breathmask and all you other supporters! I reckon we could get the whole RAH audience singing along in rondo and give the Maestro a probably much needed boost. btw I've come thru the personal outrage of extortionate unrefundable ticket prices paid to ticket sellers of less than dubious reputation, sacrifices made, how could his management let him do this, etc etc. The likely truth, as I see it, is that the Maestro, lets face it, coming to terms with his impending mortality, took a gamble on travelling to conduct the LSO (the orchestra that launched him to worldwide acclaim) and Vienna (the hub of European orchestral culture) before the end - his bucket list if you will. Yes he should have done this earlier, and yes I'd rather he'd not travelled and saved himself for Episode IX etc etc, but its his choice, his life, so I'm not going to criticize. The fact is that the poor guy is lying in a hospital far from home with a concert dedicated to him going on a just a stones throw away and I for one will happily swallow the (nearly) crippling expense and inconvenience (admittedly little) of joining the LSO and JW fans in the celebration. Phew. All together now: "Hope you Get Well Soon"
  9. Odds are the Maestro will be listening in on Classic FM. How about JWFanners attending sing ‘hope you get well soon’ to the tune of of the 5 note CE3K motif as the LSO warms up? Led by Jay of course.
  10. In SF writer Arthur C Clarke’s acknowledgements section of his 2010 Odyssey Two novel (1982) ...
  11. Many thanks for the link Jay - that’s me booked for a couple of happy hours this weekend listening through my ROTJ cds 😊
  12. Does anyone know if the Jabba concert theme was recorded with the LSO as part of the original sessions for ROTJ? I’m assuming no?
  13. Stop it.....no don’t....omg....how fast do air mail planes fly?
  14. “The Reivers, published in 1962, is the last novel by the American author William Faulkner. The bestselling novel was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1963.” “One for the books?” I can dream can’t I?
