  1. I was gonna say, the Madonna song is dreadful. Is anyone really missing it?
  2. Awesome! I’ve been hoping this would eventually get the deluxe treatment.
  3. This one looks more like later Showa than anything. it’s following the path of the original Godzilla series. As it progresses, it becomes more and more sillier.
  4. Not exactly a dislike, but there was a stretch, mid 90’s to a few years before he passed, where I lost interest in James Horner and got rid of quite a bit of his scores I had. None of the expanded ones from the labels, but quite a bit of his stuff that yet to be expanded. I don’t what it was that drew me back to his music but I found myself falling back in love with his music.
  5. Maybe part of the licensing agreement is Elfman gets some chocolate chip cookies, baked by Roger’s wife.
  6. Actually La La Land released both as a 4 disc set. OOP of course. https://lalalandrecords.com/danny-elfman-batman-collection-the-limited-edition-4-cd-set/
  7. I framed my bonus covers from LLL. For whatever reason I can’t recall, LLL sent me 2 copies of the X-Files Movie, one cover was signed. I have my John Williams to the right and below is my personalized note from Michael Giacchino on the first release of Star Trek Deluxe. The FSM Goldsmith Memoriam magazine isn’t signed by anyone but I found it fitting to frame it. I have some more covers to frame, eventually.
  8. I first saw an advertisement for this in the USA TODAY entertainment section, which was one of my favorite newspapers to read. Unfortunately it was very vague and I just figured it would be the 3 original soundtracks packaged together. However I did mark the date down and went to a mall the day it was released, I believe it was Camelot Music. And they had it upfront with the newest releases. My heart stopped when I read the packaging. Needless to say I grabbed a copy. I still have mine, and I had John Williams sign the booklet for me.
  9. Very disappointed Naoki Sato’s Godzilla Minus One is not on that list. DOD is one of Williams weaker efforts and really not Oscar worthy. Sometimes I feel he’s nominated as an apology for past scores that deserved an Oscar but didn’t win.
  10. I see they got an early start on the announcement. I though it was tomorrow, unless a more detailed response is coming. I wonder what Sci-Fi score they could be re-recording? The only one that immediately comes to mind is BBTS. TWOK perhaps?
  11. Man that sucks, I find it hard to believe City Hall sold out that quickly. Something doesn’t sound right. Especially since there were a lot of the regulars who held off buying due to the manufacturing defect.
  12. I’ll pick this up. I have a gap in my Horner collection and this one of the missing titles.
  13. Godzilla's first appearance reminded me of the T-Rex sequence in Jurassic Park. I love that it was basically framed and shot from the human perspective. Plus it was brutal. It puts the Godzillasaurus sequence from Godzilla vs King Ghidora to shame. Apparently Takasshi Yamasaki said he wishes it were that much. https://x.com/14_kaiju/status/1733310495988609433?s=20 Of course he handled the SFX thru his company so that probably kept a lot of the costs down instead of outsourcing it.
  14. I went straight to The Ultimate War, thru to the exit music. That is my favorite musical sequence in the film and it was beautiful to hear properly done. Hook has a love hate relationship with me. It was released during a painful time in my life but it was the first film I took my daughter to see. Congratulations to @Jay, Mike Matessino, the crew at LLL and everyone else involved in getting this out there.
  15. http://filmmusicreporter.com/2023/12/07/new-soundtrack-album-for-batman-beyond-to-be-released/ 95 tracks…. https://x.com/filmmusicrep/status/1732683568823103689?s=46&t=o_hiIfM33XZ3jFeOtSvXLA
  16. The “Everything We Haven’t Released Yet” box set from Varese. 🥴
