I made a fairly basic cover art set based on the 2020 fan art that was put on Disney plus May the 4th of that year. I am providing the originals for anyone who has access to that new generative AI photo shop. I am hoping someone else likes it and wants to give this set a shot

rough cut reacted to Chewy in The Rise of Skywalker - COMPLETE SCORE Discussion - SPOILERS ALLOWED!
Great discovery of the weekend!
While remembering the Blu-Ray menu gave us the clean version of the "Rey Training" cue which is unreleased, I wanted to see what the DVD menus had since those usually contain additional screens for the "Scene Selection" and "Language/Subtitles".
The amazing @crumbs found a complete DVD rip and we were able to find another previously unreleased cue, not featured on the Blu-Ray!!
It is the "Meditation" cue, featured in the "Scene Selection" menu:
tros-amp.mp3
Another DVD exclusive menu for the language setup comes with the section of "Reunion" that contains Rey & Yoda's Theme, which is on the OST, so no other unreleased music there.
This is all new information, right?

rough cut got a reaction from Chewy in Star Wars Trilogy: The Original Soundtrack Anthology turns 30!
My mom got me the John Williams Conducts John Williams Star Wars The Skywalker Symphony CD during a trip to London back in ’93. I was 13 years old. That was my first soundtrack CD, and my first introduction to proper film scores.
Back home in Stockholm, Sweden, my interest in film music took off, and I remember the excitement when I found the Star Wars Anthology Box in the biggest music shop in the city centre at the time. It must’ve been in 1994 or 1995, so I must’ve been 14 or 15.
The box set was locked inside one of those glass counters where they kept all the box sets (a rare thing in those days - these days box sets are a dime a dussin).
I remember looking at the cover wondering what music was hidden in side that box. All I knew was that there was a ton of music missing from my single Star Wars CD.
I used to visit that shop a lot, and just look at it, my hands pressed against the glass.
I remember thinking with anxiety that I would get to the shop one day and that it wouldn’t be there - that it’s been sold to someone else. I was so happy when I saved up enough money to buy it and bring it home.
I played those CDs to death. I transferred them to tape and played them in my Walkman all through high school.
In many ways, I guess that buying that box was when my true love for soundtracks, and the intricate world that it is, revealed itself.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny
Another one I saw in the actual cinema this summer. I never got around to saying much here about it, but I also don't know if I have any thoughts that haven't already been expressed a bunch around here. I really didn't like how they turned our hero Indy into a sad old man with a dead son who had to win back Marion yet again, I didn't like how the villains murdered random innocents who had nothing to do with the things over and over again, I didn't like adding a sci-fi concept like time travel into the world (juts as bad as adding aliens in last time), I thought the de-aging in the prologue was terrible, I just generally didn't really like anything about this movie at all. Except the score, which I quite enjoy!

Yes, I agree. One is within the tone of the movie/series whereas the other is not. Just pointing out the slightly absurd logic in my own complaint.

rough cut reacted to Bryant Burnette in Ecoutez le cinéma John Williams release - The Legend of John Williams 20CD box set
I finally got around and listened to disc 20, and have a few thoughts:
not too fond of the Ella Fitzgerald "Make Me Rainbows"; I've never cared much for her as a vocalist, though I had never heard of "The Same Hello, the Same Goodbye," so this was a pleasant surprise I'd heard the song "Daddy's Gone A-Hunting" before, but always in godawful quality; it sounds great here, and I finally dig this song I hope to someday hear more about the origin of "Come Tuesday," which is really much, MUCH too good a song to have been in a vault all these years I thought the Kyle Eastwood take on "The Eiger Sanction" kicked ass I had never heard "A Powdered Wig," which is awesome; Johnny is a real standout performer there I wish the Carol Burnett (no relation) version of "Love's the Only Game in Town," which is majestic, had been included instead of the Suzanne Stevens one; but this one is fine I liked the Lou Donaldson version of "The Long Goodbye" more than any on the actual soundtrack!
Overall, this disc alone makes me happy to have bought the set.

I guess what makes that hit to Voller on the train goofy as hell is that I don't think any other baddies in the other films 'recover' from something like that and come back.

Because fans are sick and tired of greedy corporations destroying classic franchises that they grew up on. They’ve had enough of talentless hacks “subverting their expectations” which means completely deconstructing and bastardizing perfectly conceived beloved characters and making them look like buffoons and losers.
