  1. Am I the only one who is in absolute love with this set ? I mean hearing some cues, especially on the TOD cd, of wich I did'n't have a bootleg. Just goosebumps! Saving Willie and The scroll/to pankot palace are amongst my favourites allthough all tracks are great. I only could've hoped for anything goes in the nightclub brawl
  2. I was listening to jurassic park a moment ago. Always a great listen. Nut now I moved over to rodriguez Planet Terror. Can't explain why but I love that score, the whole grunge in it. Great atmosphere and some original music imho.
  3. Didn't saw that one coming. Not as shocking as stan winston but still did a lot for literature and movies for that matter. He will be missed RIP
  4. Jippiey! Two johnnygasms today. The first while watching Jaws. The Great Shark Chase theme is awesome but the most brilliant part of the music and film is for the end of the film. Starting when brody climbs out of the boat. And the music when jaws sinks to the bottom. just wow. And the second while listening to E.T. The last 2 tracks are absolutely brilliant!
  5. I always look forward to november. My birthday is in november, 1 November actually. So I know what's on my wish list. Too bad I have to wait 2 or 3 weeks before I get it
  6. Any sign of samples yet? It would be about time we got some samples just to hear small bits of it
  7. Then my question is answerered ^_^ I got my intell from wikipedia, looks like that can't be trusted (which I could have known) Thanks anyways!
  8. So Steven Spielberg wanted to use when you wish upon a star in the end credits of close encounters but wasn't allowed to use it. He wrote the script with this song in mind because he felt the theme connected greatly to his story. If they weren't allowed to use it, why is it in the soundtrack anyway? I just recently noticed this. On the collector's edition, track 26 (the visitor's - bye - end titles) at around 10:18 and at around 10:46 even more noticable, why does williams quote it. I think it's awesome and fits perfectly but if they couldn't use it for legal reasons, why is it in anyway?
  9. I Don't recognize it, but I don't think it's from arnold's score. We heard snippets of his score and this doesn't really match up with that. Is there a newly composed videogame score for this ? Or maybe a hybrid score like the force unleashed.
  10. Last movie : Max Payne. And I thought it was awesome. No spielberg quality of course but still very entertaining. If you loved the game, you'll love the movie. Suggest you stay seated till the end credits are over cause what you see after that really makes the movie better.
  11. Navajo Joe by Ennio Morricone, altough I'm not a fan of all the navajo joe sung throughout the score I love most of it
  12. The Joker from the Dark Knight... Some men just wan't to watch the world burn! At this moment that's my favourite all time villain but my favourites always change
  13. While the clone wars sucked (I mean it doesn't even sound like star wars, and electric guitar in that way? you've got to be kidding me) I can't help but disagree with that quote! Did you listen to the force unleashed score? That sounds like star wars! even though it borrows greatly from the original themes it actually provides some sort of link between the prequel and original trilogy! It's a shame that this doesn't get a proper release! Hancock - Absolutely brilliant score! Especially in the final tracks, listen to them all the time. The only thing I find annoying is that it only reaches that level of grandeur in the end of the album. I would love to hear the tracks used in the whole bank job scene from the point where he makes his entrance! Indy 4 - Don't get me wrong, it is a great score and I love it! Still it isn't what I wanted/expected. Especially if i listen to it now, after the indy craziness, it's somewhat dissapointing. Mummy 3 - I really don't like it. It is such a step backwards (as is the film) compared to the previous 2 scores. None of the themes are original imho and none of them are really recognizable, except for one. TDK - On one side I really like it. But I think that's mainly because of the great film. As a listen score it sux! It actually hurts if you listen it on an Ipod! Cloverfield (that one theme!) - Brilliant. Could make a movie with just those themes! Iron Man - An enjoyable and entertaining listen but nothing more than that. Hellboy II - Being a fan of the Beltrami score, and hearing his themes were discarded, I can't help but concluding that I don't like it, altough it is a decent score on itself, I wanted to hear the old themes returning!
  14. No Please tell me this is a really bad joke... It isn't Great loss for the movie industry, the man made movies a thousand times better! Terminator, Predator, Aliens, AI, and not to forget Jurassic park. I will watch JP, and pause it when the animatronic T-rex is on screen then take one minute silence and watch again!
