  1. This release is awful. At this point I would have preferred the original album releases of the first three so it would at least be a consistent presentation of all five original soundtrack releases using the original album masters. The Concord releases are just a mess. Had they been mixed properly it wouldn't be a big deal. I spent a lot of time fixing pitch on Temple and Crusade back in 2008 and the results worked out pretty well. (Thanks in big part to the information provided on this site.) I didn't bother with Raiders much as I had the DCC release. This may sound crazy (ok it is) but chances are Disney hasn't mastered these discs yet. I wonder if there is a way to get the pitch corrected before they are done. If I can do it, a total novice, a professional could do it in a day at most. Our hero Mike Matessino has a relationship with Disney. They are about to releases his comprehensive work for the Sound of Music and that is owned by them. (Maybe it was inked before they bought Fox?) Disney can be reasoned with. I imagine someone here knows him well enough to inquire about this situation and ask if he has the ability to contact whoever is in charge and see if he could step in for a day to correct the pitch before they go to print. (I know it is crazy and I am sure there is a bunch of legal junk that makes that impossible. Matessino also probably has better things to do. One can dream though. LOL)
  2. Not much of a poster but a daily lurker. Felt compelled to login today though and say “Thank you!” for posting this. I have wanted this source music for a long time.
  3. This release is a disappointment. I just got 5 of the 6 CDs. ANH is Tuesday? To me it is just a sloppy mess. The lazy covers should have been the first clue. On my way home I listened to the 2016 Sony release of “The Asteroid Field”, as the new 2018 remaster was getting the worst reviews on here, then popped in the 2018 CD once I got home and it doesn’t sound right at all. Things are pushed back in the mix and it just sounds awful like they didn’t finish balancing it. The 2016 release was fine to me. I know more can be pulled out of the LSO performance with proper remastering but this is not that. It baffles the mind that Empire the one I wanted the most as it was the first time the double album was going to be properly released on CD is the most screwed up. How is it that THE MOST IMPORTANT film score series of all time has had the greatest difficulty getting released properly? Don’t get me started on the terrible Indiana Jones releases from 2008. Spent weeks pitch adjusting those tracks which I could not have done without the help of the fine folks on this site. Sorry for the rant but this release pisses me off.
  4. As sad and pathetic as it sounds I wanted all four covers.
  5. I used another posters list to save time but made my own additions and subtractions and yes I do realize that I am crazy. 6. As time goes by I think the series will fall into the following order in terms of best to worst. Although with Lucas continuously changing things in the movie I reserve the right to change the order. TESB ANH ROTJ TPM ROTS AOTC That is right I am putting TPM above the other prequels.
  7. Jonny Boy or anyone else, What software are you using to change the pitch on the tracks?
  8. So do we know for sure that the "early" version was indeed a Concord product? I would think that they could fix this problem before the scores get released individually.
  9. Has anyone tried contacting Concord concerning the pitch issue? Just wanted to know what their response has been or if they just haven’t responded. It would be nice if Concord could fix these problems for the individual releases that are bound to happen. They are not going to do anything though if they are unaware of our dissatisfaction. I realize that they probably won’t do anything even if they are aware but it is at least worth some effort. Did the “early” version of Raiders that was released on the net have pitch issues?
  10. I can't, and I've heard the score like a billion times Some people are pitch/tone deaf. Doesn't mean it's not there or not a serious problem. I think Laurent Bouzereau is one of these people.
  11. I was really disappointed that the Bridge Percussion music was not available on this set. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  12. Neil, How would you score this release on a scale of 1 to 10? 10 being the best and how would that compare to the Superman Box? Just curious.
  13. Do any of you know where I can get good version of "You're a Sweet Little Headache" form Last Crusade? I have one that sounds pretty good but it is hard to tell if it the same one used in the film. Incase some of you don't know what I am talking about this is the music Elsa is playing when Indy enters her room.
