Could have fed a lot of starving people in third world countries! Interesting where billionaires' priorities lie.

And it raises the question, what is "politics", really? I mean it's such a broad and abstract concept, conveying countless philosophies through expression, art, governance and the complexities of human interaction and our very existence. It's a difficult thing to properly define, hence I just don't have any clear idea where the lines are drawn and what exactly lands you in the sinbin, or how someone in charge even goes about in enforcing that with sound and informed judgement unless they have a thorough checklist.

"Too political" as opposed to "slightly political"? On what scale are we talking about here? These lines are a bit vague.

    Better spent on poverty.

Ah but if one mentioned the lack of specific pathologies related to hearing damage, the conspicuous lack of effective treatments, health care coverage and disability services for such injuries and ailments, it's hard not to complain that legislative bodies haven't done enough to provide funding subsidies to biotech firms to... oh shit. Yeah, what a world.

I'm just saying discussions related to any of the above topics could be mistaken by users and/or moderators for "political" discussion because of their strong relation to government, which would result in a thread being closed just because someone had the audacity to even mention the word "government". Unfortunately in my experience, people generally conflate "government" with "politics" - the two aren't necessarily the same thing when approached from a certain angle, but the confusion frustratingly persists.

So... Defence, environment, security, education, biometrics, fleet management, finance, information and communications technology, aviation, maritime, infrastructure, law enforcement, welfare, frontline services, healthcare, emergency services, parks and recreation, water, utilities, procurement and transport. All are specific topics related to the public sector, which is often falsely conflated with "politics", and are probably therefore now forbidden subjects. Gee, great.
