  1. It's very enjoyable, if somewhat repetitive, but not a very long CD at all. Great holiday listening, would definitely recommend getting a hold of it.
  2. It at least has the potential to be much more fun and adventurous than Rogue One, which was pretty dour.
  3. It'll soon be time for be to break out Blizzard by Mark McKenzie.
  4. Never felt a rush to get the 25th anniversary version when it was released, but now that it's been out for a couple of years, and is still available, I might pick it up this month.
  5. Beyond that, art is a reflection and expression of the times we live in, and how environment influences us. If a movie like The Post is going to exist at all, then now is a completely appropriate time.
  6. When you say series, I assume you mean the whole kit and caboodle. If that's the case, there is absolutely nothing in ROTS that is on the same plane as a anything in the OT in terms of drama or emotional weight. The execution of in the dialogue, framing, and acting ruins any chance of making that a possibility.
  7. TLW movie is garbage, and Jaws 2 is dumb fun. So Jaws 2. TLW for score.
  8. Staring Chuck Norris and Tom Selleck
  9. In Cabin in the Woods, doesn't the nerdy guy also survive?
  10. Agreed. The end credits for POA still piss me off since it started out fantastically, and then segued into a bunch of theme edits stitched together. To be blunt, it had the potential of being one of Williams greatest end credit suites. Shame.
  11. It's actually secretly a sequel to Inception.
  12. Those comments are about par for the course for Elfman these days. My opinions about some of Zimmer's music aside (especially in the superhero genre), he's nothing if not generous, courteous and professional when being interviewed about others. Elfman's holier-than-thou attitude has gotten worse over the years, and it was already pretty bad. Elfman's and Williams' themes belong to a very specific franchise of films representing a very specific incarnation of a character. Hearing them again now would be interesting, but I fear that using them would be a distraction because they're no longer the established musical identities for those characters.
  13. I actually never bothered to pick it up. Maybe I'll get it for myself during the holidays.
  14. A margin of error is to be taken into account. There will always be that small group of fans who actually grew up as children with these prequel films and AOTC just hit that age soft spot
  15. Meaning he's a bigger troll than he even lets on? Inconceivable!
  16. I saw the movie once at an advanced screening (first and only time I got tickets for something like that, neat experience). While I thought the movie was okay (basically Spielberg kicking up the Spielberg factor to 11, but without the charm), the score has remained with me ever since. I adore the music and absolutely cannot wait for an expanded treatment.

  18. I have to say, there is a swell in my heart to see the love A.I. is getting.
  19. Well, certainly "The Post" will never compete with a Star Wars film in terms of repeat listens for most of us, but I still think it's an interest dichotomy. I'm glad to have the opportunity to experience them all the same.
  20. Can't recall if this was posted anywhere else. His new film is called "How Do You Live?" (Kimi-tachi wa Dō Ikiru ka), unconnected to the other things he had been working on. I thought he was stretching that caterpillar short into a feature film, but it doesn't appear so. http://www.animenewsnetwork.cc/news/2017-10-28/ghibli-hayao-miyazaki-reveals-his-final-film-title-release-window/.123343
  21. Out of all the characters available in the DC vaults, I don't get why the sudden attention on this particular character. No one, not even hardcore comic fans, cares about Shazam.
