  1. Here's a lengthy interview with Danny Elfman where he discusses his whole career http://www.buzzinemusic.com/interviews/music-interview-danny-elfman-tim-burton-25th-anniversary-music-box-grammy-museum-06122011 Note there's 3 pages
  2. The OST CD is coming from Hollywood Records on Tuesday, April 28th, and you can pre-order it on Amazon now http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00UHJ7DWW http://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00UHJ7DWW http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00UHJ7DWW http://www.amazon.fr/dp/B00UHJ7DWW http://www.amazon.it/dp/B00UHJ7DWW http://www.amazon.de/dp/B00UHJ7DWW http://www.amazon.es/dp/B00UHJ7DWW http://www.amazon.in/dp/B00UHJ7DWW
  3. Hey fellow film music fans! I'm downsizing my composer autograph collection, which has grown considerably over the last few years….and Danny Elfman has drawn the short straw. Now, before you scoff and raise your eyebrows in suspicion - please know that I wouldn't be doing this without a good reason, as I realize signed Elfman CDs are hard to come by! In some cases I've wound up with multiples of various composers; either in person or through other means, but I've reached a point where I simply can't justify the excess. (And having previously met Danny in NYC; where I received 2 sigs from him personally, I feel content letting go of the following…) I'm selling 8 (of 11) signed items that I won in a California estate auction (titles & prices listed below). The CDs are still sealed in their original cases and signed by the Elf Man himself. They were originally part of a promotional thing, so there are double copies of each title; except for Serenada Schizophrana & Spiderman, of which I'm keeping one each… you understand 😁 hehe FOR SALE: Serenada Schizophrana -- $100 (sealed)* Spiderman -- $100 (sealed)* The Kingdom -- $100 (sealed)* The Kingdom -- $100 (sealed)* Sandard Operating Procedure -- $100 (sealed)* Standard Operating Procedure -- $100 (sealed)* Charlotte’s Web -- $90 (unsealed)* Charlotte’s Web -- $90 (unsealed)* *Please note these prices are final offer, however I may be open to a good trade. I've seen what Danny's sig goes for on the web and I've come down in price approx $20, but again, signed Elfman albums are rare! If you have ANY questions whatsoever feel free to hit me up 👍 Get ‘em while they're hot! 🎶 🎶 🎶
  4. I was wondering if anyone else appreciates this score as much as I do. It is easily one of my top favorite scores by Elfman if not my favorite. I loved it since the first time I saw it. So a couple of years ago when I saw this: http://www.lalalandrecords.com/Site/MarsAttacks.html I jumped and purchesed it! Curious to see if anyone else has a love for this score like I do.
  5. Hi I am curious to see which one you like better between The Train Sequence originally scored by Danny Elfman and then later done by Christopher Young for the final film version. I will leave a link to youtube that has both Young's the Elfman's version! Let the battle begin!
  6. First trailer for the movie is now up. Per the trailer, Walt Disney Records will release Elfman's score. Looks far more colorful and more seamless this time around.

  8. Elfman's done this dozens of times over the years. Whether one likes the movie or score that accompanies it, he usually does a great 'suite' for the film's opening or end title sequence. What is your favorite? This can include the TV themes too, like The Simpsons and Desperate Housewives. There's a lot of them I like, I can't just pick one.

  11. It's called "Epic", and its from Blue Sky Studios (They made Ice Age 1-4, Robots, and Rio). Here's the trailer: The reason John Powell is not scoring it is because he is taking a sabbatical to spend time with his family

  14. Disney has released the teaser trailer for Sam Raimi's Wizard of Oz prequel Oz: The Great & Powerful in the wake of its Comic Con debut. [media=] It looks a lot better than I was expecting. I hope Danny Elfman can weave the same kind of magic he did for Alice in Wonderland three years prior.
