  1. By Gia. I think Silverstri's was better.
  2. Retweeted Marvel Music (@MarvelMusicInc): How to listen to @JessicaJones Soundtrack -- Itunes - Streaming - This is a rather cool and jazzy score that I would you suggest you might give a listen. Ford a. Thaxton
  3. Announced via his twitter I would have thought Christopher Young would have gotten the gig, but this could be a fun score for him after Zootopia and Star Trek Beyond.
  4. So Avengers Age of Ultron is coming up in there coming week! Thought I'd make a poll and a thread where everyone can discuss the already released marvel scores and of course the upcoming ones! What's your favorite and least favorite Marvel scores in order, and why?
  5. The OST CD is coming from Hollywood Records on Tuesday, April 28th, and you can pre-order it on Amazon now
  6. Does anyone know if Fox is planning on connecting their X-Men movies with their Fantastic Four movies, and other upcoming films? As of a few days ago, they had these films planned: 2015 Aug 7 Fantastic Four 2016 Feb 12 Deadpool May 27 X-Men Apocalypse 2017 March 3 Wolverine 3 July 14 Fantastic Four 2 2018 July 13 X-Men 8 Unscheduled X-Force Gambit Well yesterday Fox announced some new plans, namely: Gambit is coming October 7, 2016, starring Channing Tatum (Gambit was previously played by Taylor Kitsch in X-Men Origins: Wolverine)Fantastic Four 2 was moved up a few months to June 2 2017It's interesting that in the "main" Marvel universe, Disney has been sure to keep all the characters played by the same actors through. Meanwhile at Fox, they've recast Gambit, Jubilee, and Kitty Pryde, among other smaller roles, and have messed with timelines and rebooting a bunch of things. It doesn't seem like Disney Marvel will be doing that any time soon, though their universe is a lot younger than Fox's which started in 2000, eight years before Iron Man kicked off Marvel's own verse!
  7. Love me some Hayley atwell. I'll watch this Looking forward to Lennertz's weekly scores too!
  8. Seemed to make sense to me to have a thread for general MCU news, rather than putting it all in Future Films thread, especially since each entry doesn't get their own thread, etc, and it's a popular film series with lots of news coming out all the time. For starters, here's a video about the various easter eggs that have been in the films This video catalogs almost every Easter egg in the Marvel Cinematic Universe
  10. 60 one-hour episodes for each, with a total budget of $200 million
  11. Guardians of the Galaxy Thread

It's amazing to me just how much interest this lesser-known, ragtag team of MARVEL heroes has sparked, especially in the midst of all the fervor surrounding Thor: The Dark World and Avengers 2: Age of Ultron. Thus, I figure it's only right that the Guardians have their home here on the forum and what better way to start it than a discussion of the recent but foreseeable choice of Tyler Bates to helm the film. Needless to say, I'm not so excited with that choice. If Thor: The Dark World's Alan Taylor's recent comments about MARVEL not letting him get his way with personal pick of composer Carter Burwell is any indicator, though, Bates probably won't last through post-production. Thoughts? Who would you rather see on board? (Hint, hint: Giacchino, Powell, especially Lockington)
  12. Brian Tyler's Iron Man 3

Samples are up: Interesting. Sounds like a Hollywood blockbuster score (surprise?). But at least Brian Tyler has chops and does it a little more intelligently and interestingly than most. I like the track "Isolation"
  13. The Avengers: Age of Ultron

...will be written and directed by Joss Whedon. He's also developing the recently revealed Marvel TV series. Source: Variety
  14. Eagle-eyed readers might notice that this track list is different than the previously announced digital download version..... which had this track list: Source: The reason is that it was decided to make the Intrada physical CD LONGER than the digital one!! Source: http://www.intrada.n....php?f=4&t=4781 How cool is that? Intrada is seriously a classy, top-notch label.
  15. Copying what I posted in a different forum: Any thoughts? I don't know who Jenkins will pick to score the film, but I'm hoping Doyle will return. (Or at least some of his themes.)
  16. Thor (Patrick Doyle)

Soundtrack listing from Thor (FSR) 1. Chasing The Storm 2. Prologue 3. Sons Of Odin 4. A New King 5. Ride to Observatory 6. To Jotunheim 7. Laufey 8. Frost Giant Battle 9. Banishment 10. Crisis In Asgard 11. Odin Confesses 12. Hammer Found 13. Urgent Matter 14. The Compound 15. Loki’s Lie 16. My Bastard Son 17. Science and Magic 18. The Destroyer 19. Forgive Me 20. <spoiler> 21. Brothers Fight 22. Letting Go 23. Can You See Jane? 24. Earth To Asgard
  17. Is anyone friends with Alan Silvestri on Facebook? According to a member at FSM, his Facebook page has an announcement that he will be scoring Captain America.
  18. Variety: "Whedon to head 'Avengers'" This news just made my day year. When word broke last week that Joss was on the shortlist of possible directors, I knew that there was no way Joss would film a Zak Penn script unless he reworked it a bit himself, and thankfully, Variety confirms that this is indeed the case. I believe Entertainment Weekly said it best: "Joss Whedon to direct 'The Avengers'?: Existence of God no longer in doubt"
  19. Iron Man 2

  20. The Incredible Hulk

Well haven't seen a thread about this but Craig Armstrong is doing the new Incredible Hulk movie and his score is getting a full treatment and you can order it here on Amazon. I have personally never heard any of Armstrong's music but I'll give his music a whirl with the Hulk score.
  21. According to an interview with John Debney at Aint It Cool, he's being considered to score the new Superhero flick Iron Man that will begin production soon. I don't know about you guys, but i'm quite keen to hear Debney tackle a score of this kind - I think he could do a fantastic job coming up with Brassy fanfares and soaring melodies befitting the genre.
