Joe Brausam 214
I actually posted this video as joke because one of the kids at the school I work for hated this piece after I had the band play it, she says it's too catchy! So, without further ado, my concert band arrangement of The Great Escape. This is just recorded off Finale/my computer, but I'm having a real recording of the arrangement done in the next couple weeks, which I'll be proud to share.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JUUNLWjH-Y

I have spent the last seven months transcribing a Mozart piece for my band using Finale...it's taken so long because I put too much effort into using Cakewalk to input the music and avoiding Finale, that now that I have to learn and use Finale to add the articulation, dynamics, and other symbols, I have found out what a corner I painted myself into. Live and learn I guess. That being said, I daydreamed about arranging a simple presentation of The Great Escape. Our band thrives off of marches and other patriotic music, and this would be perfect. Ollie 1,059
While these aren't state of the art SPFX, they show that with a little effort Paramount could have fixed Star Trek V for the DVD release. The CGI this guy has done is certainly much better than the effects in the film: He has some othe scenes from the film as well, although a few face some issues of edits in the film where no effects exist but still an interesting look at what could have been. Joe Brausam 214
This is the high school brass ensemble I direct, sorry for the poor recording quality, someone recorded it on their phone. The first piece we play is "Alexander's Ragtime Band" and the second is "Tico-Tico" - unfortunately my trumpet soloist came in 2 bars early, but caught himself! Hope you enjoy it, they worked hard! We performed Rozsa's "Parade of the Charioteers" and Alfred Reed's "Two Bagatelles for Brass and Percussion" at the Spring concert this year too. No video recording of that, but I should have an audio recording within the next month if anyone is interested! And just for the sake of it, if anyone likes marching bands, here is our championship winning field show from this past year. I'm the brass instructor for them.
Datameister 2,037
Nice brass section (and band) you got there, Joey! Always interesting to see/hear marching band performances from different regions, too...I'm pretty familiar with the way things are currently done in with marching bands in northern California, but just about anything done elsewhere is foreign to me, which makes it a fun experience to see how it's different. Joe Brausam 214
Thanks! They're really a great group of kids, so I'm pretty proud of them! It is indeed interesting to see how marching bands are handled in different regions - Texas bands can be pretty spectacular!

Diego 21
I've seen a Color Corrected version of Star Wars in 1080p HD, it's so beautiful it makes you want to kill George Lucas for not releasing the original version on Blu-Ray. You can see the dirt in R2, the fact that the Death Star "walls" actually look kinda cheap. It's like seeing it for the first time.

Neimoidian 14
After being totally frustrated with how badly HP & HBP had been scored, I prepared my own version of the movie's climax, but with JW's music instead of Hooper's. Koray Savas 2,251
This guy is the best thing to happen to the internet since porn. I seriously could not stop laughing when I first saw this. It still gets me every time I watch. What makes it so priceless is that he has other videos like this, spanning over years. I wish I loved anything as much as he loves rainbows. At first I just thought he was tripping on acid, but since he's like this in his other videos, I think the man just gets high on nature.
