I haven't boughten anything since The Mask in fact I think I've pretty much stopped buying regular DVD's and will be switching over to Blu-Ray next year. I'm waiting for the players to come down in price though before I switch.

This is probably the last of the DVD I will ever buy. Anyways I got Lost In Space (the 90's one) and Short Circuit (Special Edition). For Lost In Space I plan to rip what ever remaining music there is and do a complete intended version. For Short Circuit I'll be ripping the isolated score then combine that with the oST material that was released.

Posting my movie DVDs here would be a giveaway for the screenshot quiz thread. But I can mention that I picked up the complete Fawlty Towers and Coupling (British, of course) boxes.

One month ago, I brought back from London's Oxford Street HMV:

- Alien Quadrilogy (9 DVDs)

- Star Wars: The Original Trilogy (sequels, 6 DVDs)

- Quantum of Solace (2 DVDs)

Would've bought more, but spent too much money on CDs. :)

A Clockwork Orange on Blu-ray

King Kong (2005) on Blu-ray

What's the transfer of "A Clockwork Orange" like?

I watched it so long ago I can't really tell you any specifics

Although I did recently finish my Blu-Kubrick collection, so it might be time to watch them all.

In this case, it's nothing to write home about though. Like I said, a typical HD upgrade but not mind-blowing. The difference might be more important if you have a projector or a projection TV. Personally, I was hoping for something better.

Dave bought the Mission Impossible trilogy on Blu.

I am going to order Poltergeist at Best Buy in Digibook format. I love those. it's 14.99 which meets my price point.

Can you talk about DVDs on the Blu-Ray thread? I get a BR from time to time, but usually cheaper is good enough for me.

really blu rays are just as cheap as dvd's for the most part, and I'm a convert who finally saw the light. but regardless of the format if you want to talk about your movie purchase tell us about it.

Why did it take so long for you to see the light, Joey? Isn't the upgrade obvious? It is to me.

But I'm still buying more DVDs than Blu-rays. In my primitive country, most Blu-rays are bad movies. Choice is limited.

I pay well under a tenner for my Blus normally. DVD is all but dead.

I forgot we had this thread!

Good of you to bump it. We need more duplicates and clutter, bravo!
