So many things wrong with this. I’ll start with two: the fact that it’s called Sicario 2: Soldado, and not just Soldado; and the cue card saying “the next chapter in the Sicario saga...”

What’s next, Sicario 3: Assassino?

It’s like a direct-to-video sequel that somehow managed to get the original cast to return.

I'd like more style in the cinematography, though. It's all really plain looking, particularly for a heist film.

Ironically, the "original" Soderbergh movie was one of the most stylish he's done outside of Out of Sight. A director who's visual manner I normally consider to be glacial at best.

So, Lee, are you a fan of the photography on SOLARIS?

What about TRAFFIC?

For fuck's sake.

Did anybody else say "everyone" right before Josh Brolin said "everyone"?

What an insulting collection of clichés.

Geez Louise. Read a book instead, folks, and exercise your mind instead of your right hand.

That's Gandalf, not Merlin.

Say that to the article from which I took the photo!

Anyway, Gandalf is derived from Merlin. - Alexcremers

So was I, if you remember. - Ben Obi Wan Kenobi (ghost version)

We all know about Alex Garland's Annihilation and how the movie is going straight to Netflix (outside the U.S. anyway). Well, Duncan Jones' Mute (his homage to Blade Runner) is undergoing the same fate. No superheroes? Straight to Netflix, baby!

A part of me is happy about both those films coming straight to Netflix. I can't really afford the cinema for more than the occasional film and I want my sci-fi now dammit! I'm always going to prioritise more cinematic, big set-piece type films for watching in the cinema because they suffer the most being watched on small screens. These movies should still work pretty well on small screen, it seems to me.

To be honest, there's a part of me that like it too. I don't like the theatres that we have over here but I do have Netflix. However, it's sad to see this strange evolution. If this is the fate of science fiction movies, why still make them?

How generic can trailers get?

So far, this doesn't look like it would add anything new to the character/story/universe. The setpieces make it look like it should have been a videogame instead of a movie... Wait a second, we already got this exact same thing 5 years ago.

Why are pretty girls with no tits and no figures now the in-thing in Hollywood?

Studios are afraid to have large-chested women because people will complain they're over-sexualizing women and shaming less-endowed females. It's why Sofia Vergara is advertising furniture.

That's how Disney likes it, Drax.

Anyhoo ... The poster for Scorsese's The Irishman ... (that's already three movies on Netflix that I wanna see)

A Scorsese straight to TV. And the dark ages of film have just begun.

Isn't that the Das Boot jacket?

Another nail in the coffin comment for Disco Stu's chances of return.

Episode II: The Christ Strikes Back

Hehe. Maybe he'll make it to a trilogy.

This film is among my favourite ones.

But I feel Caviezel shouldn't have said this:

" the film he’s going to do is going to be the biggest film in history "

it creates much hope and raises standards!

Unless, he hasn't said that and as usual people blow up statements;

edit:
