What is the last Television series you watched?

I've just finished series     ,and       ,of the Capaldi era (not watched any of series        ,yet).

Two generally good series, and I miss Danny. Is it me, or is Osgood sexy?

The only misstep is SLEEP NO MORE. It's a bit too clever-clever. Not one of Gatiss' best (that's probably THE UNQUIET DEAD, from series     ).

I'm warming to Capaldi, but I'm champing at the bit, to see who's next.

There's a rumour going around that the next Doctor... will be the 1st...

That was announced a while ago but I figured it quietly went away; I guess not!

I liked the movie but can't say I have any interest in another adaptation

It's an American channel that doesn't offer any programming that would interest you

It's mostly reality shows, and reruns of older scripted shows (mostly comedies)

Maybe that The Mist will put them on the map ... Turn them into a serious player ...

And the Emmy for best drama show goes to The Mist, Spike TV!

Nah! Not gonna happen ...

Sally put on her Spectra fashion show today, with dress designs completely stolen from Forrester Creations. You should have seen the looks on Thomas and Coco's faces - utter betrayal. She'll probably be arrested for industrial espionage.

Voyager has the best holodeck episodes.

I hope you're not talking about those dreadful 1940s private eye episodes!

Code Geass:  Lelouch of the Rebellion

The title might sound pretty ridiculous, but the show itself is very interesting.  A pseudo-mecha anime that is basically a long form political chess match with some mystical powers thrown in for good measure.  Admittedly, most of the characters are fairly unlikable, especially as the series progresses, and I would have liked for them to have explored this inexplicable ability called Geass (Ghee ehs, got Geese) in even more detail but the ending is so good that it can reshapes your opinion about what you've seen.  I feel like I need to watch it again to appreciate all of its moving parts.

Broken S01E01

New BBC drama about Sean Bean as a lonely priest and his working class parish.  Very well written and acted.  But Jesus is it depressing as fuck.

Ahhh, I was wondering how quickly we'd find out what Moffat would be up to post-Who.  The premise doesn't immediately excite me, but then again, neither did Sherlock when I first heard about it.

The last season of 'Mad Men'. There was one brilliant scene when main character Don Draper, lost and confused, ends up in a buddhist hippie camp. He finds his ommmm and finally, in this Big Sur paradise unspoiled by crass commercialism, he overcomes his anxiety attacks and daydreams: all the hippies singing unison while holding cokes in the air (this was an actual 1971 Coca Cola commercial called 'I'd like to buy the world a Coke'). The irony in context of the show is priceless...and true, of course.

There are about 7 or 8 other characters on which you can hang your 'appeal' yardstick. I m not a huge fan of the MM melodramatics, either, but it's generally more entertaining than not and while i have skipped 3 seasons, the last one had many jolly highlights (there are some priceless oneliners by the grey-haired guy that early Woody Allen would have been proud of) that a barrage of new Netflix etc. shows just have not.

What melodramatics? Force kids to watch Mad Men and they will complain nothing happens in this show. Now show them the ending of Better Call Saul S3 and they'll go "Yeah, that's more like it! Burn, baby, burn!" ;)

Has anyone else around here watched Attack on Titan and feel utterly frustrated by it? I liked parts of it and I thought it had great ideas, but all in all it felt so clumsily executed that it kept frustrating me.

Well, @nightscape94 and @Not Mr. Big did.

On a whim I decided to watch the first episode of "Attack on Titan". So far, so good. I don't read manga or typically watch a lot of anime, with the exception of certain movies (Grave of the Fireflies, Ghost in the Shell, Miyazaki stuff, Akira). This was an interesting change of pace.

Just finished the available episodes of Attack on Titan. This show does a really good job of leaving the viewer wanting to know more, very similar to Lost. It really hope it pays off in the later seasons.

I think I might try some other anime shows based on my enjoyment of AoT.

Finally finished season 1 of The Handmaid's Tale.  It's an incredible show and everyone should watch it.

Not a fan of the needle dropped pop songs.  Didn't feel totally fitting.

It was a TV series set in New Zealand. I recently learned there's a second series incoming, and this time Nicole Kidman has joined Elizabeth Moss for another 'neo noir' drama-cum-thriller. I'll be watching.
