Ah I was remembering that Whispers in the Dark was an expanded release but it was actually a premiere release of that score from Intrada.

I know how to use Google. Saying asterix for a * sounds like hick speak. Which it is.

I am all for well spoken and written language but is it necessary to be this pedantic on an internet discussion forum where typos and misspellings happen all the time.

Clearly you've gotten better. Congratulations.

Having a condition isn't the same as being handicapped.

You are either being ignorant or deliberately offensive. The second option is acceptable, the first one is NOT!

And that last post is a fucking mess. Did you use your cloven hoofs to type it?

I'm Catholic. I can say what I want and say I apologize and Jesus still loves me.

You can copy an entire post in Source view, but if you paste it in normal view, it's the aforementioned garbage. I have since fixed it.

Well I upgraded my Shawshank Redemption. Always thought it was one of Newman's best. It was an irresistable bottlecap for me! :)

And I see the shipping costs climb ever higher for those of us living outside US. 16$ for this set alone. Ouch!

I am happy to note there is almost 30 minutes of unreleased music in the actual film score itself in addition to the alternate material, so the expansion is quite substantial. There is a small previously unreleased thematic idea used for two scenes I am particularly interested in hearing, a religioso-styled piece which seems like Newman's little nod to one of the melodies from Prokofiev's Lieutenant Kije. :)

Which is not even a long time for such a project considering how long it can take with all the phases to get some of these scores released.

Ah ok. I'm not overly familiar with the process. Some seem to take awhile to come to fruition and others come out of the blue.

X2 was one of my first LLL releases so I'd like to complete the original trilogy from them.

How is this considered a follow-up to AI?  Because you personally didn't like any of the 30-40 titles they've released in between those two releases?

Because it's the first one since then that I'm nearly as excited about.  It's just the phrase that came to mind.  So yes.  Follow up in my own collection, I guess.

It's also a little under a year later right, so I guess it seems too like a "big summer release" follow up.

LLL has posted that they have 4-6 titles coming for Comic Con in late July, so those would be their big titles of this summer.

Shawshank Redemption was completed and expected to come out in 2014 for the 20th anniversary, and it was the approval process of the studio that delayed its release until now.

I dunno how these label guys get through these long approval delays without going mad!

Lukas Kendall - "To be honest, I thought Mutiny On The Bounty was an awful score, but I love the house it built!"

This is what I was remembering.

Wow.  To be clear Lukas never said that, and Stefan's post was an obvious joke post.

I think the original quote came from Michael Caine regarding his role in Jaws 4:

" I have never seen it, but by all accounts it is terrible. However, I have seen the house that it built, and it is terrific.” [Jaws: The Revenge] "

Two years of approvals for this? Holy crap.

Must be a wee bit agonizing for the label to be sitting on this for 2 years and waiting for an approval from the studio.
