Every time every theme is used in Temple of Doom, it's orchestarted differently and uniquely. It's one of the things that makes the score so great!

I'm not sure why Kasey could think otherwise. I do think the Concord album is a bad way to showcase the score because its almost all action cues with very little of the unique atmospheric, tension building, and scene setting cues that tie the whole score together.  The score is much better represented by a complete edit of all the cues (not just discs 2 and 5 of the box combined)

I would have been interested in the RVW @crocodile picked up at HMV if he hadn't bought the apparently only copy... so I got the other RVW film music CD they had (pictured with assorted other stuff I brought back from London):

Also, today from Amazon:

The music also annoys me.

I'm sure that if I watched the film, that would annoy me as well.

Even more probably.

I hope JW got well paid for this.

If I remember correctly he did the score as a favour to a producer friend or something like that. So hopefully did get paid well for his precious time as that is weeks of working time he'll never get back.

Probably not a very good friend then, considering the score he churned out...

You just don't appreciate the cool synth aesthetics of the likes of Crimebuster or Crimebuster Always Gets His Man. It is silly chic.

The exact 4 that I ordered!

I would like all 4 but funds dictated that it was just Potter. That will do for now!

I skipped the Arnold score.

I guess it just wasn't enough for you.

Nice rack!

;)

Still have it after a few months. It's served me quite well! :)

I don't imagine disassembling it anytime soon.
