Koray Savas 2,251
I think it depends on how many people they got to rerecord the love theme. So far I think we only know of 4. Would the complete score as used in the film fit on one disc, Mark? If so, they could put the alternates and tribute recordings on Disc 2.
Ollie 1,059
The love theme on the original album is 2:48 minutes. One idea that came to mind, I also saw someone at FSM posted the same thing, was that Robert Townson went ahead and the did a re-recording of the score. According to some sources, Alex North had originally selected 70 minutes of Spartacus for Jerry Goldsmith to record for Varese. However the recording never materialized, at least to everyone's knowledge. I think the actual score should run about 2 hours, and that's not being a 100% sure about edits and tracking, and music that was recorded but dropped from the final cut. Would the complete score as used in the film fit on one disc, Mark? If so, they could put the alternates and tribute recordings on Disc 2.The complete Spartacus score would take 2 CDs and even that might not be enough. You'd need a 3rd CD for alternatives and tributes. This ain't no Kevin Costner fluff.Unlike some other Robin Hoods, Russel Crowe can speak with an Australian accent. You know, the cultivated Australian accent (we would call it upper class accent, but there's really not much of an upper class in this country) actually sounds very british. Here's an example.A journalist with a general Australian accent interviews a politician with the cultivated accent. Aussie actors never have a problem with a British accent. It's an American accent they can have trouble with.

Jay 37,363
Full A-Team blurb:The A-Team By Alan Silvestri THE A-TEAM follows the exciting and daring exploits of a colorful team of former Special Forces soldiers who were set up for a crime they did not commit. Going "rogue,' they utilize their unique talents to try and clear their names and find the true culprit. Liam Neeson (Schindler's List, Taken) portrays Hannibal Smith, a master planner of inventive missions requiring split-second timing, unusual skills and a team of incredibly proficient and … eccentric soldiers; Bradley Cooper (The Hangover) is Templeton "Face" Peck, who can procure anything for the Team's unorthodox and daring activities; top-rated UFC light heavyweight Quinton "Rampage" Jackson is B.A. Baracas, the Team's driver and muscle; and Sharlto Copley (District 9) is H.M "Howling Mad" Murdock, a gifted pilot — and certified loon. Jessica Biel (The Illusionist) stars as Capt. Charisa Sosa, a former love interest of Face's, but who's now relentlessly pursuing the Team for a crime not of their doing. Patrick Wilson (Watchmen) is Lynch, a mysterious CIA operative who is a key player in the Team's most explosive mission. The high-octane adrenaline-fueled score is by Alan Silvestri (Night At The Museum). 20th Century Fox deploys THE A-TEAM nationwide on June 11.Varèse Sarabande Catalog #: 302 067 032 2Release Date: 06/22/10 Track List: 1. davros72 1
I still have a hard time understanding how cr*p like Marmaduke gets greenlighted (greenlit?). I mean, every time I see the trailers for it, with the stupid dancing doggies, I just think, WTF? <face palm> How on *Earth* do we keep getting sh*t like this, and we don't get a sequel to Serenity??I know, I know, lowest common denominator, they make money. Sigh. Just frustrating.Anyway, back to the thread.
Ollie 1,059
Judging by the trailers, it bears very little semblance to the actual comic strip.Which is just a daily one panel image.

Jay 37,363
THE SPECIAL RELATIONSHIPOriginal Television Soundtrack Music Composed by Alexandre Desplat The third in screenwriter Peter Morgan’s trilogy on Tony Blair, following The Deal, which aired on HBO, and the Academy Award-nominated film The Queen, The Special Relationship stars Michael Sheen as Tony Blair and Dennis Quaid as Bill Clinton. In 1993, ambitious British politician Tony Blair arrives in Washington D.C. to meet with advisors who helped bring Bill Clinton into office. At his meeting, Blair is given war room wisdom: “Listen to what the people are saying. It’s easier to change what the party stands for than what the people want.” Three years later, Blair puts the advice to work, declaring “Je suis European” at a speech in Paris, committing himself to his fellow Continentals. When both Blair and Clinton are swept into office, Clinton shares with Blair his excitement over their “unique opportunity” to advance their center-left ideas and bring genuine change over the next few years. As the two men continue their terms in office, world and personal events determine which man has the upper hand in the long-standing alliance. The conflict in Northern Ireland, the Monica Lewinsky scandal, and differing strategies about the crisis in Kosovo all play a part in shifting their positions on the world stage, and their opinions of each other. And when the 2000 election brings new leadership into the White House, it is up to Blair to decide how the relationship will carry on. Alexandre Desplat adds another extraordinary score to his long list of recent achievements (The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button, The Queen, Twilight: New Moon). THE SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP began airing on HBO on May 29. Ollie 1,059
The FSM thread is just ridiculous. Granted a lot of it stems from the Deluxe Star Trek. It's not Up, Lost Season 6 or anything else. The hints were dropped, composers are doing a tribute album for Spartacus. Robert Townson greatly admires Alex North.I really don't know what else you could choose. Jay 37,363
CHARLIE ST. CLOUDOriginal Motion Picture Soundtrack Music Composed by Rolfe Kent Zac Efron Based on an acclaimed novel, Charlie St. Cloud is a romantic drama starring Zac Efron as a young man who survives an accident that lets him see the world in a unique way. In this emotionally charged story, he begins a romantic journey in which he embraces the dark realities of the past while discovering the transformative power of love. Accomplished sailor Charlie St. Cloud (Efron) has the adoration of mother Claire (Oscar® winner Kim Basinger) and little brother Sam (newcomer Charlie Tahan), as well as a college scholarship that will lead him far from his sleepy Pacific Northwest hometown. But his bright future is cut short when a tragedy strikes and takes his dreams with it. After his high-school classmate Tess (Amanda Crew) returns home unexpectedly, Charlie grows torn between honoring a promise he made four years earlier and moving forward with newfound love. And as he finds the courage to let go of the past for good, Charlie discovers the soul most worth saving is his own. Rolfe Kent (Up In The Air, The Wedding Crashers) provides an uplifting score.
