Miguel Andrade 1,260
This is a wonderful performance. I personally find it superior to the same group's performance made in LA (and recorded by NPR) around the same time as this one.Of course, this is somewhat different from the original 1964 Shelly Manne recording, which was even jazzier, and with a more raw vocal performance by Jack Shelldon, as opposed to this more gentle and softer by Stokes Mitchell. Thor 7,465
Cool! I don't have the original recording, so this was new to me.Loved Williams' anecdotes in the beginning too....I could listen to Williams talk about his early days for hours on end.
