Guest Posted May 30, 2002 Share Posted May 30, 2002 Mr Williams opened up this fantastic performance with the Olympic theme. following up with themes from Fiddler on the Roof, Jaws and Attack of the Clones. in honor of the first concert since his birthday, Symphony Hall was locked down by a platoon of stormtroopers, Imperial officers and a TIE pilot. They led the audiance in a round of "Happy Birthday" while Jango Fett presented Mr. Williams with a cake. The encore consisted of the fan favorite, the Raiders of the Lost Ark March. as a grand Finale, Stars and Stripes Forever was played as an American flag was lowered from the cieling. i personally give this concert an A+++. if any of you can get tickets for this concert, consider yourselves VERY lucky. hope you will like it as much as i did. tpigeon 3 Posted May 30, 2002 Share Posted May 30, 2002 i was at the one on the 28th, and with some minor alterations of the cake presenter and a few other Star Wars characters, it was pretty much identical. unsurprisingly, i feel the exact same way you did. it was an utterly amazing experience.
