Small correction: It's actually "The Hotel" from Missing ;)

It's called "The Hospital" on my....uhm, unofficial release. But you're right, it's probably a typo, since a great deal of the film takes place in a hotel, not a hospital. I saw the film up again a few days ago, btw, in preparation for this podcast. What a great Costa-Gavras film it is!

It's probably switched up from another cue that is called "The Hospital", but it runs less than a minute, and is not used in the corresponding scene. Interesting that so much of the music Vangelis composed went unused for this great film

Ha, ha....sorry about that. I'm actually far more 'upbeat' and fast now than I was in the early episodes, which are VERY sluggish (and a pain to listen to).

I sum up the preceding year - most of this music is completely unreleased, so this is the only chance to hear it outside the films. You can scroll past the Norwegian dialogue to get to the clips.

I really enjoyed listening to your top 10. And I understood, that your selection was made purely based on your assessment of the music and not on aspects like how well it works with the picture, because you haven't watched each and every of these films.

While I enjoyed the selected pieces I still think, John Williams score for Dial of Destiny beats them all. But, yes, that is just my taste in music. From your top 10 my favourite piece probably was the Wynton Marsalis one. Great jazz tune!

Thanks for having a listen! Yes, I haven't watched all the films. DIAL OF DESTINY clocked in at a 13th place, so just outside the top 10.
