James Horner turns the big 6-0

All his Pixar scores have different sounds, STID sounds different from ST.

But it sounds like other composers.

No it doesn't. Although it is funny you bring that up in a Horner thread.

Giacchino has his own voice, I've heard it since his first Medal of Honor score.

But it's obvious we're never going to agree so there's no sense in constantly bickering back and forth and jeopardizing an Internet friendship with someone I'd probably hang out with in real life.

It is as i said, my boy. And now go back to your corner and learn some more about music before you spam online forums with your vile gibberish.

Fuck off you smug kraut. I'm studying at the Royal College of Music and know more about species counterpoint, stochastic music, ars nova, and spacialisation than you could dream of.

Yes, I'm vile and vulgar, and my sense humour is saltier than the Dead Sea - but at least I know my shit.

At least it's not the Dead Sea.

I don't know my salt. #confession

I'll take that with a grain of salt.

From the Red Sea or the Dead Sea?

From wherever you seasoned it with.

When JW was 60 this site didn't exist

Woah.

And perhaps some members of this forum!

Never really thought about this before.

When this site launched in the summer of 1999 JW was 67.

When JW turned 60, he hadn't even written Jurassic Park and Schindler's List yet.

The entire time I've known who JW was and was buying his music he was in his sixties or later. And he's still composing music, including an upcoming major Hollywood blockbuster. Crazy.

Seems extra weird cause every year I see him in person he is always in such great health and is full of vigor.
