People naturally respond to what makes their brains happy, and they pay money for it. This natural response gets collected formalized and used to produce more of that stuff. It's how the sugar industry went from rare spice to every fucking thing you touch has sugar in it over the course of 400 years. It's been ten years since people on this forum started saying "oh this is just cyclical!" "It's just like the early 70s, then Star Wars changed it all! We'll be fine by the end of the decade! Some artistic messiah will reverse it!" 12 years later, all we've done is upgraded the word "cyclical" to "periodicity." The trend has actually entrenched itself even more firmly. That's a continuation of continuity.The series already had a soft reboot with the fourth one. The first trilogy revolved around Bloom and Knightley as protagonists.
