Marcy and I are watching the show for the first time ever right now, and it's awesome. We've got 2 episodes left to go in Season 1, then we might have to take a break before starting Season 2 with Mythbusters, Hannibal, Better Call Saul, and House of Cards all back or about to start up again

I dunno, we're watching my Gold Box DVD set I bought a few years back.

I'm thinking about buying the BD set; You can borrow my DVDs if you want

Just don't give up on the show when it hits the doldrums in the middle of the second season, as the finale is terrific

We watched episode 6 (which is really 7 or 8) tonight, good stuff. Can't wait for the season one finale.

It just gets better with season 2, until you get through half of it. Then it becomes unbearable.

It picks up again in the final arc of S2 - although there are plenty of not-so-good sidestories in those episodes. The stretch of almost-all-bad episodes is much smaller than I remember it being when I first watched the series (maybe 4 episodes)

I really hope they will attract good writers for the upcoming season. Twin Peaks needs new blood (now that Lynch is old and tired).

Why wouldn't Lynch and Frost just write them all? It's only 9 episodes.

True Detective only had 1 writer IRRC.

IF Recalling Runs Correctly?

I think that most of the shows that I have watched had one showrunner but many different writers and directors.

Oh yea, absolutely

But I could see Twin Peaks revival being different than the norm

He's only 68, and has been crazy forever!

They're writing it between the two of them and Lynch is directing every episode. They've probably had the script on the boil for years by now.
