JohnnyD 1,222
Still no word on if Disney will continue The Legacy Collection with more scores in the future, but they are releasing a box set of the first 12 releases on November 13th.The box set costs $260, which is roughly $70 more than you could buy the releases individually for right now! So its a $70 box. WTF, Disney?http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0147YG78SHmm...Can you say, "rip off"?

Karol Oh yes, that too is my most wanted one along with BATB. I always considered it as a 1997 movie, because I first saw it in a re-run in summer of 1997! (although I did see it dubbed in my language and I was furious because I always prefer the original, but apparently the cashier didn't know the difference between subtitles and dub, when I specifically asked her if the film is with Greek subtitles and she said "yes"!) mstrox 6,647
I didn't own any of the classic releases, so while they may not have been "more definitive," the Legacy releases were certainly not "less definitive." Good enough for me. The real revelation for me was The Lion King - that is a good sounding score when you can actually hear the instruments. DemonStar 57
I was recently re-watching Aladdin and listening to the Hunchback of Notre Dame soundtrack. Both are my absolute top favourite Alan Menken scores I would really have loved to own in complete form. Would be really disappointing if they ended the Legacy series before that happened. Perhaps the older vintage titles they reissued without adding any new score material didn't sell well, and made them think that future albums won't sell well? But then, I imagine titles like Lion King and Toy Story must've done reasonably well and I don't know how they overlooked that. Of course, it's just speculation. Jay 37,326
What's interesting is that the original Legacy Collection were entirely titles that were celebrating an anniversary ending with 0 or 5 the year they came out. Robin Hood's 45th isn't until next year, so this means if other titles are coming, they could be from any year.
