What film score theme/melody is going through your head right now?

THE HUNT, from TLW.

It's always bothered me that the OST fades in. Needless to say that in my head, it doesn't.

Great stuff, Stu! My favourite Bond score, from one of my top 5 Bond films!

There are so many musical delights on TLL: EXERCISE AT GIBRALTAR, the music as the Harrier clears the tower, WHERE HAS EVERYBODY GONE? the title song, the alternate "Pushkin" theme, the music as the Hercules flies into the air base, the "chocolate box" shot of Bond on horseback...

After listening to Goldsmith's King Solomon's Mines recently, I've had the main hero theme in my head.  When I first heard it I thought it was kinda lame, but changed my opinion almost immediately once I got through the entire score.  I listened to the score again this morning and now it's in my head.

Oddly, the first part of the theme reminded me of Horner's Spider-man theme, so I have both stuck in my head, going back and forth.

I don't know what to tell ya there. I love the film more than most health specialists would recommend, but I would not neccesarily recommend it.

I kind of have a minor soft spot for Blue Sky Studios in general.

At the very, very least, it remains the only remotely watchable Dr Suess movie.

 I hear you, dude. I feel the same way about THE SWARM, XANADU, CAN'T STOP THE MUSIC, HONKY TONK FREEWAY, THE HINDENBERG  -  all pure Cheddar, and all pure-gold, guilty indulgences!

I've been revisiting quite a few Poledouris scores recently, and I have the Robocop theme running through my head even though I don't care much for he score itself as a standalone listening experience.

Still a crime that this score has never been released.  Such a fun score.  Can't get that main title theme out of my head.

MAN I LOVE BEING A TUUURRRRTTLLLLEEEE!!!!

This has been growing on me, but I recall the first score album being a rather irritating, repetitive listen. Is "Looking Glass" an improvement in terms of listening experience?

I think the Looking Glass OST is significantly better than the AIW OST.  For AIW I like the theme, but find the score as a whole, and the album, repetitive.  The Looking Glass OST is an incredibly good listening experience.

Note that on the CD, only tracks 1-19 are Danny's album program; Tracks 20-end are bonus tracks.

That bit at 01:31... Oh yeah...

The appeal of anime generally eludes me, but as someone who used to keep Adult Swim on late a night as background noise, I do know that many of them have music of a very high quality.  This inspired me to seek some of it out, which is turning out to be quite a nostalgia trip.  Here's a show that had really great opening music, the first two at least - never heard the third.  That bassist in the first is too fuckin' much!  Ridiculous musicianship all around though.

Confession: I never thought to bother to look up who composed this until earlier this year, despite the fact that it's always been my personal favorite logo fanfare.

I created this poll last year:

I'm on the record as preferring Horner's fanfare!

I like Goldsmith's, but Horner's just feels warmer and sweeter. I was introduced to the latter through Child's Play 2, and I always loved the contrast between that and Graeme Revell's awesome opening.

I can't get the How to Steal a Million theme out of my head.  I watched the film earlier this week, really liked it, and been listening to the Youtube suite at least once a day.  Now I wish I'd jumped on the Intrada release :(

I keep meaning to see Rush since so many people seem to like it, but as of now Frost/Nixon is the last Ron Howard movie I liked.  I liked it a lot actually.

Such a beautiful theme. And I love when the trumpet enters. Sounds a little Williams-y.

Can't stop playing this track!

Shame that after the Stanley & Iris BD Iso score got paired with a nice Varese expansion, nothing new is coming for HTSAM or Tom Sawyer after they got new BD iso scores
