But bad sound?

I saw on the place-that-shan't-be-named that it's from the blu-ray stems and does sound crap. Make of that what you will...

Yes.

That is incorrect information.

Just now, RPurton said:

So it's a leak from the actual sessions just in crappy quality?

No, it's from the film stems. But whoever took those stems decided it was a good idea to make them mono then fake the stereo.

Pretty sure they're not tracked but I do wonder if Giacchino didn't write them or something since they're not in the session leak - then again, the 2 source cues his son wrote were credited properly in the end credits of the film, so who knows.  It's also odd that there's no gap in slate numbers where they appear... like the scenes were originally planned to have no music perhaps.

Nice to have the whole thing in good quality.

A couple of things I've noticed: It seems there's a statement of the Indominus theme in "Mad Scientist Disease" that isn't on the leak. From the sounds of things it was probably tracked in from another cue. The original album also presents most of the cues with the inserts edited in, with exception to The Dimorphodon Shuffle and The Park Is Closed.

you could compare them to the earlier mono leaks which seemed to be taken from the film directly

'íts bigger than expected' sounded a lot like it was just ripped straight from the JW suite to me

"Go Down Mosasaurus"... wasn't it that sustained violin note with the rip ending on the mono bootleg? (I think it was called "Mosasaurus Sting" on that boot) I don't recognise it from any other cue.

Thankfully as it's only violins playing there, the fake stereo isn't of much consequence. I included it in my edit.

Is "Abandonment Issues" on the mono boot?

It might be merged into "Alpha Beta Charlie Dinner" but there's no track on the boot by that name.

"Five Is The Scariest Number"

was also edited a lot in the film version it seems

(makes me wonder if that ankylosaurus scene was supposed to be more brutal)

technically JP3 isnt complete yet is it?

we're missing the introduction to the Pteranodon cage (and a few film version of tracks)

There's not like a legit sessions leak with every take or anything, no, but there are fan edits of the album/promo/dvd rips that I find more than acceptable while we wait for the LLL edition.

JP3 is based on, I think, some sort of promo. I think in most cases it's got the final film version of Davis' material (such as the transition between Tiny Pecking Pteranodons and Billy Oblivion), before any tracking the film had (the start of the end credits is tracked from Brachiosaurus on the Bank).

What would make me nervous about the inevitable LLL edition is the intro to the cage sequence. I think it's library percussion, and while they would definitely feature Davis' music, would they include a version with the film cue? I once tried identifying that piece using a YouTube trick, but all sorts of things can hamper identification of library music via automated means (insufficient length, or edits/loops within the cue, are the two primary culprits).

Edited edit, I'm back to square one.  This one certain website just won't send me an email to reset my password.  I even tried registering a new one, but a new confirmation email won't send.  Checked all folders.  Goshdarn these random, nondescript websites.

I'd take a complete score of Tomorrowland over Jurassic World any day.

Hell yes.  Complete sessions for Giacchino's greatest accomplishment (Tomorrowland) vs. complete sessions for a just ok Gia score (Jurassic World).

Yes, many unreleased cues are great, including the one for Casey's second infiltration into NASA, and two great cues with choir right just before Home Wheat Home and just before Pin-Ultimate Experience

If you want to Download rare Soundtracks there is a website out there for you... I've seen a complete version of Jurassic World, but from where I don't know. I'm also looking out for a complete Tomorrowland and complete Pan from this mysterious place.

This is what we've already been discreetly talking about since yesterday.
